I would look to make sure the PC meets the req's, but otherwise I'd say yes. I play F2 every year since I got it over 7 years ago, & there's some nods to F1 with F2. I've never gotten around to F1, but I still want it when I can get my PC repaired. I wonder if the new pack addresses any of the infamous bugs?

Unless your PC is actually a rock, chances are you'll be able to play it. Definitely get it.

I got it about a month ago on my Windows 7 64 bit computer, downloaded the patches and high res patches for both games and I haven't had a single bug or issue with either of them.

OP: I'd say yes they are very much worth it and if you are reading this on your computer then you can play these games.

This also should be in Fallout Series Discussion.

If you can stand to play VERY old school games. A lot of people can't, not as if there is much to lose by getting it... it's like 10 bucks ain't it?

I saw that pack in 2003 and I bought it for $12. Now it's probably cheaper.

But if you like older games and your not all about graphics, then it's worth it. It has great gameplay and storytelling, decision making as well.

Hahahahaha........ha

This is Todd Howards thought process.
If it doesn't have some retardedly large enemy, it's a bad game.

Awesome. Maybe I'll make them my summer project.

Like I'm going to to build a deck or do something else completely productive with my time?

I know I really enjoyed going back to the Baldur's Gate games.

Of course! Aslong as you dont care much about first person views, bad graphics and turn based combat they are [censored] awesome! They have great storytelling, better writing(well, except for fallout: new vegas, maybe) s.p.e.c.i.a.l is a very well designed system and in fallout 2 every one of them brings something worth to the table, theres better traits, harold the mutant(more of a joke but i do like to hear him), talking deathclaws, etcetra

Totally get them, just don't read the wiki unless you absolutely have to! It ruined a lot of story lines for me and made the games a lot less fun than what they should have been. I recommend beginning with FO1, I find it a bit easier than FO2, though FO2 is funnier and provided me with a more enjoyable playing experience. Don't forget to save often! There's no autosave on the old games.

What? Did you not play Fallout 3? Liberty Prime is not the "large enemy"... Communism is.

The gameplay is similar to Baldur's Gate, aside from the turn based combat which uses action points for each action and movement.

Can get em from gog also.. no drm etc

I recommend NOT getting help walkthroughs. It makes it much more satisfying. F2 = awesome.

Nothing is more satisfying than crotch shots with a high power rifle and getting the '___ crumpled to the ground' messages.
