Q&A says looking for ways to add to RP community, but...

No plans for speech bubbles....

I feel so immersed in my like chat box in the corner of my screen.

Chat box rp made Swtor stale please ZOS I mean you have no name plates so seeing who actually said what just became more tedious

I mean at least a chat animation when someone uses /say so your characters don't look like statutes

I agree with this. They also took away the ability for others to create a chat bubble add ons.

Why not have voice chat? Voice chat that can be toggled on and off, with multiple channels and small zones. I mean it would not work to have the whole world talking at once lol. Maybe it would go by a radius around your character. I think that is how defiance was on console.

I'd like subtitles that appear under a character. It's rather TES-esque and solves the problem, and then allows people to create addons for alternatives.

because voice chat is akward for roleplay purpose

I rarely have the tone of voice i want my character to have. It would be even weirder if you play another sixe. I dont imagine myself trying to voice a female wood elf. Or a woman trying to voice an Orc male. Then there is slang, accent (french, texas etc.) where is make harder and harder to make a realistic roleplay.

Turn bubbles on or turn them off, it should be a choice.

I think chat bubbles could be useful, but they do add a level of visual noise that some players might find intrusive. I think it would make sense to keep the option in there but have it disabled by default. (Like the ability to walk in-game.)

Where is this Q&A, by the way?

I agree on speech bubbles. I also feel that player/guild housing is another necessity for character immersion.

And something from Matrix Online I loved: stances, or moods, or whatever they were called. You could change the way your character stand and how his emotes looked by setting your stance.

Lol, nothing wrong with a gruff, manly warrior with a feminine and bubbly voice. Means ya know he is a hard ass from all the bullying he received as a lad.

Was excited about the RP elements.. strange considering alot of the staff came from working on Ultima Online

Sometimes you gotta please the masses and not the ones that will stick around

believe it or not though its not the masses they are catering to.....look at the bag/bank space issue, over 3000 players posted in regards to this matter and it was blatantly said no to

because it would interfere in pvp in a nutshell, the game is mainly geared towards pvp I keep getting yelled at for stating this but it is what it is, anything that could negatively affect pvp gameplay will be denied, that has been my experience so far, as you can see by my list of issues which a LOT of other people had issues with as well all of which were flat out said no to

i agree with this 100000%%%%%% we need some sort of chat in this game.... I mean, i LITERALLY stopped playing swtor cause it got" THAT ANNOYING" to me. I was like "i'm not going to keep looking back and forth at my screen and this little corner, why aren't there no chat bubbles? Makes no sense."

Yes I agree completely with player/guild housing, I want to see this in ESO, with customization.

And thats why we need a option to turn them on as i agree they should be of by defult but there needs to be an option for them to be on or they need to let us make addons for them, after all they are RLY rly good for RP and it make the character your talkingto feel abit more alive.

I am not an RPer but as a long time game I know you RPers love the chat bubbles, personally they annoy me BUT, I repsect other players wishes and I approve of your guys request, IF it were up to me I would try my best to keep ALL of my playerbase happy not just the pvp playerbase, SPECIALLY since they are actually the minority

My Australian accent is not going to mix well with my female bosmer character...

doesnt matter I LOVE the australian accent, there is just something about it

BTW Bosmer is the best race :)
