Scale of the Game

Don't worry about the scale, Todd once said that TESV will be bigger than any other game they developed, both content-wise and stuff showing on screen.

I'm pretty sure it won't exceed Daggerfall.

First, it will probably be equal to Oblivion.

Second, I don't get the fast travel thing. There are plenty of mods that prevent its use and you could just not even use it in the first place. If you can't restrain yourself from clicking yes on the fast travel prompt, then you probably shouldn't complain about it. Though alternate forms of transport would be nice. I would prefer those that let you see where you are going, even it is on a ship or something.

It's not a case of "Don't like it, don't use it", the game was designed around it. The same way that many feel the compass ruined a lot of the adventure and simplified the questing, even though you can mod it out, the quests are designed so heavily around it being there that it's almost unplayable. I have no issue with fast travel, I do have issue with the game being designed around using it.

The world size will be about the same size as oblivion but will be harder to travel through than in oblivion, (in oblivion you could walk a straight line but here we're dealing with mountains and rough terrain, and if you go off the main road god knows what you'll encounter to slow you down) so it will feel a lot bigger, i have no worries on this and this is official information. i heard from some interview or something. (Not the offroad thing tho but.. duh go figure)

I don't really mind the size, I wouldn't mind if it was the same size as Oblivion unless it has a lot more detail in the world(Which has been slightly confirmed with the hand-created environments?) But honestly I can't care that much with the whole "Skyrim on the map is much smaller then Cyrodiil." As after looking back at the map sizes in all games, needless to say all of Tamriel is out of whack, Vvardenfall is the same size of Cyrodiil, Hammerfell and High rock is pretty much the size of Great Britian, even though put together it would just be barely bigger then Cyrodiil, so whatever size Skyrim is.. I couldn't careless lore wise.. ;)
