SCAR-Spectral Combat Assault & Recon

Shaking my head I closed my eyes for a split second, "No, no and no. Claire, you shouldn't risk it just in case, you almost lost it just from listening to echoes and that was MY fault, hermanita it would please me if you DIDN'T die on this trip. Now, onto a much more pressing matter... How the hell do we go DOWN? That's what I really want to figure out, what does Adam have to say about getting out of here? We don't have any doors, all we have is a circle of light..."

Stopping for a second I actually thought about it, the light was only so big and when I stepped on it it felt colder than the stone without light... Weird, maybe it had something to do with getting out of here? Although, maybe that isn't what we wanted to do... Making up my mind I looked up suddenly, "Everyone come over here would you? See if we can all fit in this light, I gotta feeling that it has something to do with getting out of here... Light in a place of shadows."

That's a bad idea Andrew, your sending them all to their deaths and you to yours. I need you, don't go and kill yourself you fool. Pushing the thing out of my mind yet again I quickly motioned my hand to emphasise that I was being serious. Looking around the rest of the room I made sure that there was nothing else of interest in the room. Suddenly something caught my eye, a small flash was eminating from a small pile of something in the corner of the room.

Quickly walking toawards it I saw my flashlight flicker a few times and my heart start thumping, there was a small pathetic skeleton slumped agains the wall. There was a set of DOG tags hanging around it's neck and a small holo-tape in it's fist. I touched the tape and it automatically started playing:

My name is Private Webster, I am a member of SCAR. My Squad and I entered this building in hope of killing a threat of a paranormal nature. We screwed up bad, the thing that was about... Well, it was pretty far down, it tried to posess us but found none of us worthy I think it said. I couldn't get any further than this, the others died a while back I think; this room had us stumped for a good two days. We couldn't figure it out, but we managed to figure it out in the end now I pass on the knowledge to you.

You have to get the whole squad to stand in the circle of light in the center, the only problem is the trip down and when you get there... Well... I guess if you've come this far, I'm sure you'll realise getting back up is a very long climb, good luck.

As I heard the beeping of the holo-tape to say it was finished I turned around and raised an eyebrow, "Okay, that was very nice to hear and boosted my confidence a lot and then some. What's the vote that we all stand in the light hmm?"

Sara looked at her brother with irritation. How dare he put his feelings above her own?!? Her eyes were beginning to return to normal and in a few moments she would go back to being cold and without emotion. But right now she wanted her brother to know she was angry. She scowled at him but did not want to argue with him. It would not be a good thing for her to question his orders in front of the others. She looked over at Darius and smiled at him.

"Thank you for your concern Darius. I'll be fine." Her strength had returned now and she walked past her brother.

"Yes Sir!" The words came as whisper. Just loud enough for Andrew to hear her and she stood in the circle and waited.

"Good to hear it," Darius said to Claire, and watched her in go and stand in the light. "Are you it's safe, never know what could be on the other side," Darius said, being cautious, "We might not be able to come back." Darius looked intently at the light, "But if it's the only way...."

Why can't anything be normal? Darius thought, but he, and the rest here, know normal is alot to ask for. Darius looked at the other, trying to guage their thoughts on the matter.

Watching all the others walk into the light I follwed after them, I don't exactly how it would know to do whatever it did when we were ALL on there. Shaking my head I entered the light last, right on the edge the closest to where we entered. After a split second I felt a sensation run all over my body, the light changed from a normal white glow to something hinting on red. Then it turned into an almost viscous blood surrounding us, it moved all over our bodies and almost enveloped us.

With a few blinks and muttered curses I felt something else happen, almost like a tearing out of our very own dimension. It ripped us out of our place and stuck us somewhere else, but due to the light I couldn't see a thing; except feel my heart beating faster and faster. A voice invaded my thoughts, Welcome to MY domain, you won't last long if you fall for traps like this very often will you? I'll have to punish you for being so outright stupid, hope you like your pistol.

With a sense of almost being washed over with cold water I lost my sense of what my fabric of reality was, falling inwards to myself I closed my eyes. As I opened them again I found myself looking at a black celing, moving my arms to my sides I pushed myself up to a sitting position. I looked at myself and my eyes widened, there were cuts all up my legs and across my arms. Reaching to my back I realised I couldn't feel my rifles, with a sense of fear I rose as quickly as I could.

All the others were spread around the dark room, moving my hand to my helmet I turned on the flashlight, it started flickering but managed to spread it's glow across the floor. A few of the others were stirring while the rest were knocked out cold, none of them had their provision packs and it seemed like most were only left with pistols, none had any rifles and Claire didn't have her swords. Taking another breath I coughed a little, feeling terribly hurt and betrayed by the message.

Oh, that WAS the only way to get down here, it's just also the most dangerous.

With a scowl I quickly yelled, "Okay! Get up now! Wake up and we're moving out now, we've lost our provisions and it looks like most of you have lost your weapons... By the looks of it we all have at least a pistol, hurry up and get up!" I scowled even deeper, they were all awake now but some were groaning in pain. With a few muttered curses I buried my face in my hands, this wasn't good.

Claire opened her eyes. For the second time today she was laying on the floor. But this time it wasn't because of the curse. The Light had turned everything red and then she woke up in the immense dark room. Her brother was yelling something about weapons, something she had a hard time hearing because of the headache she now had from the effect of the circle. She instinctively reached for her swords to find them gone and then was able to sort out what her brother was saying. She had no provisions but what about the item she lifted from Andrew's office.

Nobody saw her take it and really wasn't concerned if anybody did. Claire saw the item on the floor while she had her head down on the desk. It was something she knew they would probably need it and it was pure instinct when she picked it up and clipped it to her belt. Her hand shot down to her waist. The med kit was still there.

It was then that she realized she still had her pistols. They were snug in the holsters and she felt relieved that they were still there. It wasn't because she had a weapon, but because she didn't want to lose them a second time. Using them as weapons was a different matter altogether. She was a good shot, in so much as she could hit a stationary target. It was the moving ones that she had problems with. It was the main reason that she used two pistols. It increased her chance of actually hitting a moving target. Claire missed her swords now and hoped beyond all belief, that there would be nothing to fight.

Claire rose to her feet and everyone else appeared to be none the worse for wear. Her headache was starting to go away and she walked over to where Andrew was standing. She could tell he was distressed. Even if she didn't show it it was a feeling they shared. She turned to face the group.

"I have a med kit if anybody is hurt." The words came slowly. She felt disturbed by this whole situation. She could feel the wall shaking in her mind. The more time she spent here, the harder it became to maintain it. This whole place was wrong. She looked up into her brother's eyes.

"Where are we"? A look of concern was on her face.

Darius pushed himself up, his face was pale, Darius felt sick from what just happened. Darius sat down against a wall, trying to bring himself together, "God, thats not something I want to do again," Darius said to himself. Darius checked what he had, his pistol like alot of the others and his torch were still there, but nothing else. Darius was glad he still had his pistol, not just for it's protection, but because it's the only thing he had left from home.

Darius tried to turn his torch on, it flickered and tried to come to life before dieing. Darius whacked it against the floor in frustration and it came on. "And what to do?" Darius asked, "No rations, and barely any firepower." Darius closed his eyes and lent his head against the wall, things had gone from bad, to far worse then he thought possible, they were going to die in this place, Darius felt certian of it.

OOC: Jian's ability makes him able to communicate with the dead, the spirits that linger on.

Wake up Jian... Wake up! You've got work to do.

Jian opened his eyes, it was dark and cold. His rifle was gone and all he had with him was his pistol and combat knife. He knew that something was bound to happen when he stepped into the light. The voices warned him, they told him that he wasn't coming back if he stepped into the Light. Jian still was not afraid to die, but he would do all in his power to help the others.

He sat up for a second and closed his eyes, just to make sense of what was going on. Opening his eyes Jian noticed that some of the others were up, whilst others were still faced down on the cold hard ground. His senses were screaming for Jian to get out of there, this place was, was... Devilish...
Welcome Jian Yao, your power is impressive, just as the others. But I do not relish in killing another member in the SCAR, so I ask that you end your life now and spare yourself from a terrible torment.

Jian was not affected by the cold words that the voice spoke, "Begone! I am not that easily tricked. Know this, I will make sure that at least one of our team members survives, and that they will banish you."
The voice snarled then grew silent.

Jian then stood up and looked around at the other teammates, to see if they needed help.

I struggled to reach my feet, and when I did I staggered for a moment, falling back onto the wall. Turning my head to the side a deep feeling of nausea washed over me, making me vomit a bit. The smell of blood lingered around my nostrils and the taste glued itself to my tongue.

"That... didn't happen the last time we were here. We did leave holotapes about the facility, but he must've corrupted them and changed them. I can't remember what they said, so if we do come about another one, be cautious."

I slipped on a semi bulky helmet that had been handing from my side, used to cover nearly my entire head. It locked into place tightly and still allowed for easy flowing movement. A large, dark visor covered most of my face, but would keep my eyes from blinding too bad when my powers reached my optic sensory. The smell of vomit and blood was almost instantly lifted as the purifier got to work on the air, removing the foul odors.

I had completely lost concentration when we dropped down here, shutting my flow of psychic energy. The light from my palm had extinguished. With another flick, another orb reappeared, floating around us again. Soon after it split in two, leaving twin bright orbs. I pulled a small peppermint from out of my pocket and slipped it into my mouth. The crinkly wrapper fell to the ground next to my feet.

"It's times like these I'm glad I'm not the Pointman."

The door slamming behind Dax made him jump. He struggled to flip the flashlight on that was attached to his axe with a shaky hand, and followed behind the others, fingers tight around the handle of his weapon.
Every skitter or shuffle made him snap his light over it, illuminating a small patch but revealing nothing. "So screwed...we are SO screwed..." He thought out loud, keeping his voice low and with an uneasy tone. His heart was beating faster than it had ever been before.
The group stopped in a room with a single circle of light in the middle. Dax backed up a bit, the light hurting his unadjusted eyes from it's brightness. He listened to his leader as he played a holotape and suggested they all go into the light. Dax simply stared at them all incredulously.
"Are you guys crazy? It could be a...a trick or something!" His voice was barely above a whisper, and he was quickly ignored. Soon, he was the only team member not to have gone into the light, and sighed with defeat.

He walked slowly over to it, hunching over and gripping his axe with both hands.
Suddenly, a great flash of red overcame him and he descended into blackness.
When he came to, he suffered from a terrible headache, and a distinct loss of weight on his back. After clutching his ehad for a few minutes, and groaning along with the rest of his teammates that started to wake up, he went into a panic, groping at his back for his shotgun and axe. "It's gone! All my damn stuff! Gone!" He shouted, finally spooked, and fumbled around in the darkness for any of his stuff.
He pulled his sub machine gun up with both of his hands, one clenching into a fist as he listened to his leader. He got up and slipped his gun into its holster with a snap.
"I knew we shouldn't have done it! God, we were all so stupid! Should've listened to ME, damnit! Oh, god, oh god, we're so screwed..." With each word, his voice rose into a steady yell, then back down to a low rant to himself. He was overcome by another wave of fear when he realized the tube attached to his gas mask was cut off. He patted his belt for his gas tank, and started shaking with nerves when he realized it wasn't there. "My gas! [censored] it, my gas!" He stumbled awkwardly to a wall and rested against it, desperately trying to calm himself down.

The conversation with Andrew was rather boring and had a certain blah to it. Ann hardly remembered what the two had said, Andrew looked a little drained and didn't even get off the ground. As the conversation seemed to come to a close Ann picked up her weapons and watched Claire enter the tent. Ann quickly exited feeling it wasn't her place to be in the tent with the two of them. Not long after she exited, Claire and Andrew came out of the tent. The time was drawing closer.

The order to move was soon given to move inside the building. Ann drew her Chinese Assault Rifle and turned on the red dot sight while following the others. The thick, black doors were slowly pulled open. Their enemy was becoming closer with every step.

As the group entered the building the doors closed on their own. Things were getting stranger be the minute for Ann. She heard someone from the group saying how screwed they were. Ann however preferred to look on the brighter things, such as the pillar of light that was shining into the building. She stood in it, trying to figure out how to get the torch light of her assault armor to work. She wasn't paying much attention as the others gathered around her in the light.

Her light flickered on brightly, "I got it!" Ann exclaimed.

The others around Ann weren't paying much attention, and soon she didn't care for the flashlight either. The pillar of light was turning a blood red color. After a flash, and a feeling of running through a brick wall, she was with the group in a different room. They had gone deeper into the structure, and it didn't look like there was a way out. A warm sensation began to run down Ann's upper lip, and soon down her chin, upon touching the area she found it was a bloody nose. Claire asked if anyone needed any medical attention soon after.

"I got a bloody nose if you wanna take a look at it," Ann said dully as she searched for her weapons only to find they were gone, as was most everyone else's.

As Claire began going through the kit to see if she had anything Ann ran her hand through her dark brown hair and said letting a small smile come across her, "So it looks like we live here now, huh?"

((OOC: I doubt this is the way everyone lost their stuff, but eh. I figured it would be okay since Ethan can see them and all :P))

Ethan joined his group into the blinding white light. To him, however, it was another room. The way he saw, the room was slightly lit brighter than the rest, but nothing could blind him anymore. The wall started to change color, and people started to cower in fear. As did Ethan.

He couldn't move, only watched. He could see something come down, and knock out his squad mates, taking their weapons. They left some weapons, but Ethan didn't know why.

It was his turn, now, and a ghost came up to him. It reached for his sword, but brought it's hand back in pain. It hissed, and then everything went black.

Ethan woke up, and felt around for this things. All gone; except for his broadsword. He let out a sigh of relief, as he picked up his weapon and sheathed it. He "looked" around the area, and groaned. Already, things were getting freaky.

IC:

Opening my eyes again I looked on all the others, only one was still on the ground, most were standing up and one other was on his knees. Turning around I hit the wall, "Dammit, this wasn't supposed to happen!" Turning again I looked at the others, "Okay, quick check, everyone's here?" I heard a quick run-off of names and quickly decided that everyone was there. Shrugging I turned around again and took a step back, looking at the wall.

At both sides were hallways, the hallway to the left had absolutely no light, while the hall to the right had a flickering light. Scratching my chin I turned my head, "Well, we've got two choices, and I can't see anything in the hall with light. But, that light is giving me bad ideas that something is gonna happen down there..." Trailing off I turned again and shook my head. "Darius! Your on point, I want a decision guys, which way are we going?"

Moving forward a bit I turned yet again and leant against the wall, taking a few breaths. I could smell blood and vomit, it was much more pungent to my nostrils than others; but it didn't bother me none. I'd smelt enough blood to know how to keep it from affecting me. I smelt something else too, a certain odour that almost wisped into my body, it left me stunned and wondering what it was. I sat in silence though as I waited to hear from the others.

Personally, I wanted to go with the light, because that'd mean we didn't have to take our torches and waste their batteries so quickly. If we went down the hall of dark though, who knows what might be down there?

It seemed everyone here was OK and in check. Most of our gear was missing, including my SMG. No matter, all I needed were my amplifiers. The flickering light gave an ominous forecast to what would happen. Light always meant something bad was going to happen when we first came.

"I've said this earlier. Most of the bas things that happened occurred under light. Regardless of what you were told as a child, light isn't safety here. Things are going to be scary either way, but it's Andrew's call in the end. I choose the dark hallway." I leaned back against the wall.

My stomach began to grumble a bit. I hadn't eaten yet today. In retrospect, that was a terrible idea, especially being down here. The vomit wasn't going to help that either. I swallowed the peppermint in my mouth and popped in another. Instantly my stomach calmed itself, suppressing my hunger.

"If it helps, I might be able to keep a light going in the dark hallway, but again, bad things happen in light." I turned to Ethan.

"Maybe you could wave that sword about in front of you as we walk down the hallway? Scare off any ghoulies before they get us, eh?" I laughed. Humor was going to be a factor in staying sane here.

Dax was shivering and breaking out into sweats as he stared down the hallway with the single flickering light.
He'd begun to associate with the same circle as before, and shuddered as he thought about what traps could be down there.
"Maybe you could wave that sword about in front of you as we walk down the hallway? Scare off any ghoulies before they get us, eh?"
Dax winced, then growled violently under his breath, the lack of gas in his lungs beginning to make his powers more extreme and harder to suppress.
He turned around to to face the person who'd laughed and scowled.
"This isn't a joke! We could die, damnit, and that's not funny!" Dax spat, tightening his hold on his gun.
He walked a few steps past the group and stopped in front of the dark hallway.
"We should go this way! I'm not going into any [censored] trap again, alright?!" His lack of being able to calm down was being obvious, as his muscles started to coil. A faint crack was heard as his fingers molded shapes into the handle on his SMG. "C'mon. This is safer. It has to be. It's a trick! I know it is...I know it is..." His shouts descended into more mumbles, until he snapped his head back up with fiery determination and motioned towards the black hallway with a free hand.

Looking at Dax I quickly nodded, "Well, he's right y'know, we have two choices and really... This seems like a better idea, if your flaslights still work, hit em' now and we're going THAT way." I said, pointing towards the dark hallway, I quickly got up and moved right beside Dax, Darius moved up and went just ahead of us and the others fell in behind. I thought of what it could look like from a birds eye view and I came up with a small imaginary http://i621.photobucket.com/albums/tt292/Francois_Lachon/QuickMapofCurrentSituationforRP.jpg. (Not as imaginary as you'd think. A is where we are, B is the room after path with light and C is room that is led to by path without.)

Darius muttered something ahead of us and Bear managed to light up another small mystical light which totalled to three now. The third floated up to the front while the other two stayed back with us. I took a quick breath and turned on my flash light just in case, watching Darius take a few steps forward I let my breath go as nothing terrible happened. We started moving a little faster which was good, I looked at the walls which seemed to be dripping with something.

I moved a bit closer to the wall on my right and took a close look, it wouldn't have been obvious to anyone else that there was liquid draining down the walls. But god I wish I couldn't see it. There was blood falling down the wall in copious amounts, dissapearing before it hit the floor so as to not disturb anyone. Holding my breath I moved away from the wall and clenched onto my pistol tightly, clearing my mind of everything I could, a few others were murmuring things to each other.

Taking a quick breath I closed my eyes and started muttering three words, "Hermano, hermanita, safe," over and over again. Just under my breath so no one could hear.

Ethan watched the controversy in picking a choice, and decided he didn't care which way the group went. They decided to proceed down the dark hallway, which hopefully was the safe choice.

The group was tightly together, the light coming from their torches lit the hallway. It made no difference to Ethan, who could see either way. Who knew having no eyes could have such a great reward?

He tightened the grip on his Broadsword's handle, and shut his eyelids tight. He paced down the corridor with his group, he was in the back. He stopped as something jumped in the space above him, but disappeared into the metal wall. The wall rippled like water, and jiggled until turning back to normal.

"Watch the wall." Ethan said, warning his friends.

Ethan was terrified at the thought of being the only one to fend off creatures. He hoped everyone could see them, and they were solid beings rather than paranormal ghosts. He always hated to the idea of responsibility.

Claire removed a small pen light from the med kit and pushed back Ann's head. She shone the light into the nasal cavity looking for any signs of trauma. The blood had stopped now and the nose did not appear to be broken. Claire assumed it must be another side effect of the circle. She moved Ann's head back up.

"You're fine."The words had a clinical edge. Claire reached back into the kit. removed a small piece of gauze and cleaned away the blood.

The rest of the group were discussing which direction they would take, and seemed to be thinking about moving down the dark corridor. She could feel herself wanting to be in the light. If they were going to be attacked by something, at least they would be able to see it coming. She considered Bear's words and felt a small sense of dread at the thought of entering the darkness. Claire was beginning to wonder if she had made the right choice in coming here. When the Brotherhood approached her, they had said that Claire's abilities would be of use. So far, she felt like she had done nothing but hinder the group.

She could feel her own emotions starting to rise. Closing her eyes, Claire concentrated and tried to keep the wall from collapsing, something that was becoming harder to do. Too many fears were rising in her now, and they threatened to overwhelm her. The fear of losing her brother was compounded of a strong sense of loss for her swords. Not too mention whatever may lie within this place. Claire returned to her brother's side. She would do everything she could to protect him and keep him safe. Even if it meant sacrificing herself in the process.

As we came up to a corner I felt a shiver run up my spine and into my very core, I didn't look in any other direction than what we were going in. We turned the corner and I heard Darius gasp, he stopped right in our way and I felt my entire body beat in unison with my heart. I quickly moved forward to Darius' side and blinked, rapidly, standing at the end of the hall; was a small boy. With jet black hair and such a small figure he didn't fit here, he was something odd.

He looked up slowly, his eyes were blood red; he smiled at us. Bear's small orb of light became extinguished and all the flash lights flickered out of existence. Quickly reaching my hand to my head I felt panic surge up in me, I hit the light over and over but it refused to light up again; I heard footsteps coming towards us. Followed by a shrieking laugh that pierced my ears, closing my eyes I smashed the flashlight one more time; I heard a flickering and I opened my eyes again.

There were bloody footprints on the ground, leading right up to Darius who was shaking visibly. Catching my breath I quickly said, "[censored], we need to keep moving, come on Darius; nothing happened, keep moving." He nodded lightly and brought up his weapon, quickly moving forward, the others hadn't really seen what had gone on. I was glad they hadn't, although their torches had flickered out while Bear's orbs at the back had stayed fine... Strange...

Bear's other orb of light flickered up beside Darius and moved along with him, Claire was at my side and we quickly moved on through the hall. Into a small room with a kind of cupboard at the side. http://i621.photobucket.com/albums/tt292/Francois_Lachon/SecondmapforRP.jpgboth had lights which really scared me. Looking at the others I flicked my fingers forward to give the idea to move into the room.

Quickly moving to the cupboard I opened it up and looked inside, after a brief look over I slammed the door shut and walked back. I supressed the urge to vomit and looked at the others, "For the love of god, don't look in there, dead man..." I felt my face go pale and I shook some sense into myself. "Okay, which way? Up or across?"

Claire could see the look of fear on her brother's face. Despite it, she still wanted to look in the cupboard. In her days with the Brotherhood she had worked aas a medic and and seen injuries of the worst kind. She had assisted in thie occasional autopsy and had no fear of seeing a dead body. Claire walked over to the cupboard and opened the door.

Claire truly wasn't prepared for the grisly sight before her. She had seen dead bodies before but not like this. The clothes on the body were nothing more than bits of shredded cloth. The chest and stomach had been torn open and she could see the heart and lungs hanging motionless. The intestines had spilled out of the body and lay on the floor in a pool of blood. Claire felt a very strong urge to vomit. She forced herself to concentrate harder. It was taking all her strength to stay focused. She could feel the wall beginning to crack. She examined the body a little more . Half the face was gone and only one eye remained which was hanging out of the socket, staring down at the floor. She had gained a little of her control back and could see something pinned to what remained of the shirt. Reaching down she removed it and wiped off the blood that covered it.

It appeared to be an ID card of some sort. It had a picture and the name Frank Burress was typed onto the card. The back of the card had a magnetic strip on it.

Claire took one last look around and smiled slightly at the object that lay in the corner. It was a crowbar. She picked it up and slid it into her belt. Walking out of the cupboard she looked at Andrew and showed him the ID card.

"I may have found something." She paused for a moment and exhaled. The wall still had the cracks running through it, but she was able to keep it from crumbling.

Claire didn't respond to Ann's joke, but she didn't expect her to. She made a lot of her jokes for herself.

"Maybe you could wave that sword about in front of you as we walk down the hallway? Scare off any ghoulies before they get us, eh?" Bear said to someone, whom Ann couldn't see because Claire began to check for any damage to her nose.

Ann held he breath trying as hard as she could not to laugh. She didn't think that Claire would appreciate Ann spraying some blood from her laughter. In a matter of seconds Claire had cleaned her off and told her she was fine. Ann nodded to her as she was putting her things away.

Once the group got moving again Ann tried to stay in the middle, she was unarmed after all. After some walking the point of the group stopped for a moment. Everyone's lights began to flicker and then die. Moments later they came back to life, Ann decided it was because the suits were quite old and hadn't seen much use for some time.

As they trekked on they entered another room with a cupboard which, upon Andrew's investigation, contained a mangled corpse. Claire then found an ID badge of some kind on the corpse.

"What in the world...?" Ann softly whispered.

Things kept making less and less sense the farther they traveled.

Darius was muttering another prayer, his fright was most likely noticable to the others, he couldn't hide it, specially when it seems that something had turned up, and leaving footprints leading to him. Darius kept his desert eagle up and prepared, even though it was not working, Darius hung the torch on his belt.

Darius had caught a quick glance of the corpse, he turned away straight away, "We're going to end up like that," Darius thought to himself. He wandered around the room, just trying to calm himself down. Seeing the ID card Darius asked, "Where do you think that works?"

Micheal looked around as the team went deeper inside the base. The darkness was almost suffocating, and Micheal could swear that he was hearing other voices telling them to go back. Suddenly, Micheal's world went black. When he woke up, he noticed most of his weapos were gone, leaving him with only his pistol and knife. "[censored], most of my gear is gone.", Micheal said as he picked himself up. Micheal then followed the others deeper into the facility, nearly wetting his pants the whole while.

When they came across a corpse, Micheal said, "He must've been one of the originals, or one of the workers." When he looked at the ID card he said, "There's probably a door someplace around here, we should probably start looking for it." Micheal was calmer, but he was still scared [censored]less.

Dax's breathing became slow, and shaky, as he walked through the corridor with his team. He was huddled next to the leader, holding his gun out protectively.
His mind was screaming with fear as the light around him came and went only in a few wispy moments, and his feet and arms started to drop into a trudge, making him fall to the back of the group.
He stopped, unexpectedly, as he noticed a small boy in front of them.
"What the hell?" His panic-stricken voice rose as the child tilted its head up and revealed its eyes. Suddenly, Dax backed away and accidentally smacked into a wall. He stumbled away from it, and stared at the blood on his palms. "Holy [censored]! What's going on?!" He muttered to himself, practically frozen stiff with fear. As the group moved on, he followed behind them awkwardly, his legs shuffling along while his eyes stayed fixated on his hands.
This is nuts! Oh, god, oh man, oh god, oh man!
He thought to himself as the team descended down the hall even more.
Wait...what if they're fake? He hesitated as he thought over this.
Were his own teammates illusions?
Did I die back at that light, and now I'm being tortured like this by that...thing? His head whirled as he glared at each teammate, walking towards a corner of their newest room and surveying them. Was that a flicker he saw at their borders? He mumbled unintelligibly to himself.
They might be...they might be...I've heard it can do things like this...and they don't think I know... He thought all of this while peering into the same cup board the others had looked into, but instead of retracting vehemently, he simply furrowed his eyebrows at the corpse and closed the doors easily.
Fake. It has to be. All fake. I'll watch them all.
His eyes flashed, the pupils red momentarily, as he turned quiet and waited for their own decision.

Looking around a bit I kind of grumbled, watching the two pathways, scratching my chin I decided. We'd go up. Turning around a little I noticed Dax's face, his eyes were flashing everywhere and nowhere. I'd seen this before, a sign of madness in this terrible place, one of many horrific places to be.

Turning again I looked at Claire, "Well, good find hermanita, you hold onto it for now and try and see what you can find out. C'mon guys, we're moving up this way," I said, moving up towards the door on the Northern side of the room. The lights didn't flicker as we made our way towards it, with a breath I walked forward.

Darius moved up the side to the front while Claire took one side and Dax a little behind on my other. All the other's grouped up behind us and we moved as one, if one person stopped walking; we all did. Continuing moving I heard a kind of splash, stopping I turned slowly; dripping from the ceiling was blood.

It fell just as Ethan moved past the spot, which was of course; another way of saying something was up here. Turning around again I moved my step forward, but found myself frozen to the spot. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't move my limbs, I noticed a frown on Claire's face as well as she realised this.

"What the [censored]?" I muttered to myself, putting all my energy into moving. I quickly spoke, "Anyone else can you move? Something's up..." I trailed off as I noticed the lights start to flicker, very bad sign. Voices eminated around us, telling us words of death and torture; I really started to think I was losing my mind.

"This is [censored]..."

Claire, like her brother, found herself unable to move. She was unable to turn her head, but assumed that those behind her were experiencing the same thing as she could no longer hear the echoes of their footsteps. She could feel a presence seeping in through the cracks of her wall. She could feel her fear beginning to rise as the presnce drew closer to the group. She could feel the air begin to grow colder around her. Claire needed to do something. Each of the group had their own abilities and if her's wouldn't help, perhaps one of the others. Claire remembered how Bear had moved the rocks around and thought that his powers could be useful now.

"Bear. Can you use your telekinesis to force us to move?" Her voice still had the clinical tone to it, but was wavering slightly.

The presence was drawing nearer. And as the cracks in her wall started to widen, the lights began to flicker.
