Exactly as it says on the tin, what is the scariest experience you've had while playing Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall?

It could be anything, from a noise that made you flinch, to an overall experience you wouldn't want again.

Mine was the first time I've been to Daggerfall at night. I'll give you a hint: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFeN5-M8GR8

The first time I heard a skeleton and when I found out that human enemies are soundless.

That's always greatly disturbed me on a psychological level - Daggerfall's enemies make horrific noises, but the enemy humans are always dead silent. Then you walk into the towns, and it's the same - with the ones indoors being completely still and unmoving, even more unsettling than the jolly townies who walk around outside all day. It's depressing and makes you feel so alone and insignificant in the world. It's kind of cool. :mohawk:

I don't know what caused this, but one time I was in Castle Sentinel just to talk to the queen. As I came down the elevator, three frost daedra were waiting and they opened up on me. I about jumped out of my chair because I never expected to see them, and I could see them as the elevator came down. I didn't have a chance.
