I think they need to adjust this ability. It takes way to long to scavenge supplies off an enemy and makes you look down at the ground. If they are going to make it take that long they need to atleast have it where you can look up and see if anyone is coming. Also maybe put a little more range on the ability to you dont have to be right on top the body or simply make it work a bit faster.
On a slightly different topic Soldiers seem to be a bit lack luster in the abilities tree. Almost all there abilities have to do with buffing there normal grenades and they really have nothing else. It seems like the class was just thrown together last minute.
I sort of agree with the duration it takes to scavenge, but at the same time, it replenishes a pip, so I'm not sure yet how that would really balance out. I definitely don't like being unaware while I'm staring at the corpse I'm looting though, so I'm with you there.
As for abilities, soldiers aren't really meant to function as a support class like the other classes, but are meant to be up on the front lines just killing with bullets and chucking grenades with the occasional setup of a charge. Handing out ammo is really their only support role and it suits them well I think as they're really meant for getting downs/kills as is.
