A scavengers playthrough?

Hey

Does anyone know any mods to turn FO3 into a hardcoe apocalyptic game? I'm wanting a mod that makes Ammo and food hard to find, whilst also affecting enemies in this regard? Really want a play-through where I feel that all hope is lost, and that i'm having to carefully watch my last remaining bullets.

Thanks,

Undead

Fallout Wanderer's Edition and Arwen's Realism Tweaks are two mods for you to look at.

I'm currently working on version 8.0 of myhttp://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/7565/?, which should be the final major update of my mod. It should be out before the end of the month. But version 7.2 works really well (with the possible exception of the optional One Life module, which will be much improved in v.8.0).

I don't know of any mod that will effect enemies the same way. Enemies don't need food, of course, and will generally have unlimited ammo to shoot at you with. To my knowledge, the best a mod can do is limit the amount of ammo that you find on their corpses after you take them out. I've never seen a mod that actually makes them run out of bullets.

Probably because of how game characters ammo works. The game will make them drop the weapon as most enemies spawn with weapons in poor condition so they may break their gun in combat. But, combat is usually over before that happens.

FWE makes ammo rather scarce on default, so much so that I personally think it breaks the risk vs. rewards ratio (i.e. you come out of a battle poorer than when you entered it, so it's better from an economical standpoint to avoid it to begin with). With FWE settings on scarcest for ammo, food etc. I think it would be rather hardcoe.
