Scavenging, now items green, not red

Post » Sat Jul 10, 2010 1:28 pm

Last night was great; I was able to immerse in exploring the map and while finding new places around Lake Mead, shacks, etc., the items found were not red, they were green. That includes Skill Books and almost all of them have been red before this. My character isn't a thief and so I didn't take them before. Has something changed that I didn't catch? Maybe the problem with items being red is a geographic thing on the map? I really travelled a lot in that area too and never had so much luck scavenging before. What changed? Did this happen with anyone else?

Still holding for Oh My Papa patch though. :)

Hang in there, Talon...we're in this glitch together. At this point, I'm very hopeful still. Next week is a short week due to Thanksgiving (but I don't want to rush them). I've been building my second character named Hope who will do hardcoe/Normal and she won't even go near Papa Khan until she's asked. :D How about you? Planning a second character?

I believe the items are green because they don't belong to anyone.

Right, but now it's so different that nothing belongs to anyone in the Lake Mead area and in the rest of the map, almost everything belongs to someone. It's noticably different and I have to wonder why? Skill Books were not stealing in FO3 and they were in my earlier FNV game. Now they are not. Why? :)

Um - well, probably because Lake Mead is remote, and there's no people around to own the items. As you get closer to Vegas you have the different "tribes".
