Scenic Screenshot Thread #2

I have Photobucket, but you have to pay to upload more than 1MB. Not worth it for me.
Will try Nexus, thanks.

And of course Nexus doesn't want you to post screen shots, or why else not allow BMPs? :shakehead:
Although I can see it makes sense when the images was reduces from 5MB to 1MB when converting to JPG.

With the .jpg format you can get a 1680x1050 screen in under .5MB so 1 MB should be plenty for most shots (Note : lady nerevar's 2972px ? 1060px image she posted is under 600KB !!)

This is sort of a double post. I posted these pics in the character thread but I think they fit better here.

Cloud Ruler really is a great place for scenic shots. :D Especially with Frostcrag Spire Revisited to spice up the skyline.

Oh, that's nice. It reminds me that I have not used the Frostcrag DLC in a long time, and I kinda miss it.

I think the game has an unusual beauty when distant land is turned off. I prefer it most of the time, actually.

Oh that's gorgeous! I love the clouds. Very surreal. I may have to turn distant land off and play around. :D

Aren't those clouds crazy? Sort of... sherbet colored?

But pretty nonetheless.

I love UL: Chorrol Hinterlands. It's a work of art, I think.

I don't turn off the Distant Land, but I do use Streamsight (Streamline's fog setting). Better performance with the lower ugrid count plus far more immersion at not being able to see clear to Leyawiin from the IC ;)

Handsome IC shot, Aequitas.

I don't use Streamline, nor do I wish to, but we are in agreement about hyper-distant views. I've always felt that it, rather perversely, made the world feel much smaller, and less interesting.;)

Screenshot purists beware, there's a HUD in my screenie.

Thank you, although I <3 Verona Bay in the background nearly as much. AFK_Weye is just barely visible poking out behind the tower towards the middle. And of course Region Revive: Lake Rumare is throughout.

I actually am NOT using any of Streamline except for the fog; everything else is disabled (Streamline does funky stuff for me, even with extensive tweaking I find modded Oblivion much more stable without it). ;)

EDIT: And I totally agree; it's why Morrowind feels much larger than Oblivion (that and the slower walking speed).

Screenshot purists beware, there's a HUD in my screenie.

I dedicate this to a certainly lady modder who did the voiceover for a particular trailer for a certain upcoming mod that deals with the aftermath of Oblivion's quest. :embarrass:

:embarrass: That is a beautiful shot and a beautiful, and kind of embarrassing sentiment. :lmao: I'm sure the lady in question appreciates the thought.

:hehe:

It's just rare that I hear a good voice over at all, much less an amazing VO. A certain company should consider hiring said lady for their voice work. That the person is a pillar of this forum community as well

Beautiful Sid! I adore that first shot with White Gold Tower in the distance.

I'm starting to take screens now with an eye towards putting them in game as paintings. :D Modding has made me incredibly sick of the like four whole paintings the vanilla game offers in twenty different frames and sizes. :lmao:
