Scope Textures + NifScope + Photoshop = :s

So... Getting used to the G.E.C.K. toolkit is quite a bit of a curve if you're used to Oblivion but i'm getting there, slowly. The texture editor locations for fallout nif's are SO not like the nif's for Oblivion so that was the first big hurdle but that was easily overcome with some ingenuity and actual searching.

Recently I decided that I should recolor some rifles that I enjoyed and make them a bit darker and possibly share them as mods... everything was fine till I hit a snag....

In NifScope when I try changing the textures for some of the scope layers they don't change, namely the sight tint on the Gauss Rifle for starters. Every other layer changes over to blue and or red coloring aside from the alpha tint that sits behind the sight's measurements.

It's annoying as hell to have everything else be black and red or black and blue and still have that damned green tint there.... mocking me....

Does anyone know how to fix this?

P.S. sorry if this isn't in the right sub-forum, I didn't know exactly were to put it.

The 'scope sight' is selected in the weapon properties. Look at the tabs.

Also, you do NOT need to use Nifscope to change most textures. You simply create that new object, the 'Texture Set' and apply the texture set to your copy of the object in the GECK. There is no need to edit or include NIF meshes with your mod.
