Scraping Question!

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 1:09 pm

Hey guys, I am enjoying the game alot but there is one thing that is totally irritating me to no end and its when I scrap inside settlements I can't walk around while doing it.

Now I have seen videos where people are talking about how to build etc etc and they walk around and they will scrap a tire and walk to a house and scrap a piece of furniture.

The way I am doing it is hitting the R key to go into building mode and then I am able to scrap whats within reach of me but I cannot walk towards anything, if I am not close enough I have to exit building mode and go towards the object and re-enter the building mode...SO is there something I am not seeing or missing because this is frustrating? This is for the PC version btw.

Thanks

Playing on PC and I can walk all right in building mode, scraping including. I activate my building mode by holding V however.

Set keybindings back to default. The build mode keys are conflicting with rebound keys.

Had same issue, this game was designed ground-up for controllers.

'Scrapping', BTW.

Ok I did a reset of the keybindings back to default and sure enough it works with the wasd keys moving around now, however I failed to mention I use the arrow keys to move because I am so used to it in other games.

Am I going to have to just svck it up and use wasd keys or some other keybindings other than preferred arrow keys for movement?
