No On Screen Display for EVGA Precision and MSI Afterburner

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 7:11 am

The OSD (On Screen Display) for EVGA Precision X and MSI Afterburner both don't work for Fallout4 but work for every other game on my list. The OSD should show framerate, gpu usage and temperature on upper left corner of screen but it's not on at all. I tried to uninstall and reinstall both programs, chang app detection level from low to med to high, as well as upgrading to latest Nvidia drivers with no success. Anyone having the same issue?

I have MSI Afterburner, and it works, although the VRAM reporter seems broken (4 million MB :P). Have you tried manually enabling the OSD. The option is in MSI Afterburner's option menu. On-screen display tab: Toggle On-screen display.

I have MSI Afterburner 4.1.1 if that matters and RivaTuner 6.3.0.7688

Diviner: thanks for that suggestion. That seemed to do the trick, plus I thought I had the latest Nvidia drivers (358.87 released on Nov 4th) but apparently there's a newer one available (358.91 released on Nov 9th) so I loaded that as well, a reboot and wala! Thanks again!
