I am somewhat frustrated. I have been playing Oblivion IV for about 4 nights & have yet to be able to play for more than 30 minutes. The screen freezes, the graphics go astray and I have to totally reboot my computer.

I am operating with Windows XP, ,my computer is a Dell Vostro 410 with a NVIDIA PNY GeForce 210 graphics card.

I would so appreciate any help/assistance. I have downloaded the Patch, but this doesn't seem to help either.

The Geforce G.210 isn't a gaming device by any stretch of the imagination. It may, just barely, meet the six year old minimum practical requirement , but nVIDIA had lied so blatantly at the time to Bethesda that the official requirements were meaningless, and a special ULTRA LOW quality setting had to be added to the first patch (can you say that everything looked like MUD with that setting? Yes).

As you can plainly see, it is WELL BELOW the Geforce 6800 GS.
