Screen Resolution stuck in 800x450

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 12:45 am

When I open the launcher for fallout 4, I cannot save my video options. They default to 800x450 on the resolution and this is unbearable on a screen that should be 1920x1080. Any known fix for this issue?

It may be a permissions issue - the game can't write the video settings to disk. Try launching the game with administrator privileges.

Same issue here, It won't save video options but for me I cannot find the Fallout pref . ini in the docuement section. So basically that did not download with the game so I cannot save game or quicksave or load them. gamebreaking....

Find your Fallout 4 folder inside of your steamapps folder. Inside of it will be ANOTHER folder named Fallout4, in that folder is Fallout4Prefs.ini, change the resolution in that file. It worked for me.
