So...uh... Bethesda, mind telling us why this dragon is hovering in the air? His claws are like a foot away from the rock he is perched on.

I REALLY hope I'm seeing this wrong or that this was just a very unfortunate screenshot.

Whoa, what happened there?

EXACTLY what I have been thinking. So far all the animations have been spot on. This makes me worried.

The screenshot is of the dragon landing. Nothing to worry about.

I thought the lighting here looked pretty cool.

The statue looks fine, but there are so many light sources that aren't visible it's hard to see if it's good or not. I think some shadows are missing.
Also, the Khajiit doesn't really fit into the scene. He seems to have a different light source, but you have no idea what it looks like.
And in general, the bloom seems to be a bit high.

Whoa, what happened there?

While it looks a little funny,it's a still screen,it could be just about to clutch it from landing,or it could be taking off.....Let's not be too critical of a still shot,it doesn't tell the whole story. :)

Thats a very, very unfortunate screenshot then. Call me cynical but considering Oblivion's Sword-hilt-floating-half-a-foot-away-from-the-hip I am still worried.

I see nothing wrong with it,especially if that is an xbox screen. It looks far better than oblivion, they seemed to have worked wonder's on these consoles.

I'm more than happy with that screenshot, but that's just me. :)

Yeah, they apparently were planning alot of things in Oblivion that weren't seen to be included or quite the whole picture. Don't get me wrong, I love Bethesda as a company and I love their games, but sometimes they screw up.

I think Todd is a bit personally biased toward the consoles and the PC version really does look a lot better. Everytime someone mentions the PC version he acts as if AA, AF, and High Res textures do absolutely nothing to the graphics. Then he tries to defend the console graphics for some reason by saying you don't even notice the graphical difference because you sit further away. I played Oblivion on the Xbox360 and the PC version hooked to my HDTV, and yes, I do notice the graphical difference.

Thank god Bethesda isn't Lionhead Studios.

Haha, yeah. Fable 3 was very buggy for me actually. My friend had me over and my character disappeared during the "making pies" minigame and then wouldn't come back, so I was invisible.

Anyway, Todd probably has to keep the majority of fans happy by being "neutral". He obviously doesn't want to say something that would make one version seem better than the other. He has said many times that the PC does have a higher resolution by default simply because it must though, I suppose that is as good as we are going to get.

Wow looking at the guard in the town screenie with the dog, they actually look slightly Roman after all (check the helmet out). Win, I was waiting for them to start returning to the old Morrowind Roman guards.

oh sweet irony, and to think romans were fearful of the irish wolfhound of yore.

now we see a roman "lookalike" (probably an imperial legion guard) strolling on the street with one of those very same dogs

HOLY DUCK F**K!

I REALLY like the orc pic.The enviroment and the orc itself. The orc is actually scary and badass looking and not just fat and dumb looking like in Oblivon. He also seems to have a little beard.Check out his sword too!Seems like its enchanted!

The Khajit looks a lot more beast like than in Oblivion but to be honest I dont like it that much(At least this particular khajit.)

Do we think that dog is a companion of the guard, or a stray? I for one would love to see stray dogs roaming the streets...

The plants look fantastic. Look at the ivy on the orc screenshot, behind his left shoulder. Stunning.

Proof? Or are you just asuming that since it's a fort and they visited one in the demo.

I forgot to mention that one article has it captioned as "Bleak Falls Barrow". If I find it again, I'll throw you a link. As far as I know, all the new (never before seen) screenshots released yesterday are from the demo excluding the Orc and Khajiit.

did you notice that in the last pic the nord warrior is wielding what we know is a single handed sword (seen in other screens and video) as a two hander or half and a hand sword? which means bastard swords are in!

No... it's just a two handed variation of a longsword. These are commonly know as 'claymores' in the TES universe. ;)

Claymores typically have different textures, this sword has the same texture of the longsword in the pictures we have seen before.

Oh wait, no. I was wrong. It's only the blocking animation for a single handed longsword.

-One enemy doesn't have glowing blue eyes like the others.
-Enemies seem to surround you instead of just charging in for the kill, as shown in other screenshots and the trailer also.

Check out the walls as they seem to have design that are eroding away... nothing big but cool none the less

I believe the Harness is the new "naked" torso model , it has attached a pouch and like an utility belt thingy the Khajiit pic has one too , of course i am talking nonsense and guessing i have yet to see a pic with no shirt

May have been mentioned, but in the village street screenshot, it looks like the other man on the street is an Imperial guard, wearing an outfit more reminiscent of Morrowind than Oblivion. A return of the Legion? Also, same screenshot, the plant to the left looks like some kind of Alchemy ingredient.
