http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/2319/maline.jpg at her store - new shirt - was playing with some lace brushes for the GIMP and using a subtle effect to prevent the shirt looking too white - probably too subtle in this shot :) the face is one of my bretons, the skin is a retexture of one of Alienslof's modder resources - she did such beautiful necklines.

Normally Maline has long black hair but she was willing to be styled for the pic :) sigh roleplaying is so easy to get carried away with even when modding.

Very nice. :) Usually when I try making white textures, it ends up getting rendered funny, but you seem to have found a way around it.
By the way, are these lace brushes in the latest version of GImp or did you download them separately?

I've seen that fur-lined suede boots seem to be popular with the girls lately, so I tried to make my own version.

I got them from deviantart which gave full credit to http://www.obsidiandawn.com/brushes-categories - they have good terms and conditions for brush use and you will likely find some good ones there apart from lace also for PS

If your GIMP is in program files the path to put them in is Program Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\brushes - I'm using version 2.6.7

As for the white shirt - it took lots of tries and I don't have the xcf file to refer to I think I went for a slightly pink wash instead of blue and it has about 5% transparency - the lace brush definitely helped to break up the whiteness to get light to react correctly to it.

Which armor is this?
I recognize Westly's work in the other pic, but what is this? Hedgehog's armor?

This armor is a hodgepodge mix of some of(mostly) Hedgehog's Ebony(and one branch of one of his steel helms), Phijama's, and Westly's work, which I used to create what you see, to be fair all I did was take Hedgehog's Open Ebony Helm, add the faceguard from his steel helm(stretched a few vertices here or there) applied some custom textures to the helm faceguard, added a few branches to his Ebony Pauldron's including neckguards from Westly's awsome Holy Meridian set in Alakazar's lamp, and dragons from Phijama's excellent Dragonblade mod and a Fletcher from one of Phijama's mods(name of mod escapes me).

And I slightly squished the tower shield mesh from Hedgehog's Ebony armor so that it was slightly shorter and thicker in appearence as well as added a sword sheath to the upper left leg mesh from another of Phijama's awsome sword/sheath mods......I think it all came together pretty well personally, though I can't really take credit for anything except a few modifications to what was granted to me by the aformentioned "real" and truely incredible modders.

Edit: Now that I think about it, I also shrunk the upper/lower leg meshes a bit, as well as the boots, as I felt that they appeared a bit too large in comparison to the rest of the body in Hedgehog's original set, all in all though the only thing that is even close to being mostly mine is the striped texture on the faceguard, and thats not all mine because I took like 3 different hedghog textures, cropped, pasted, and edited them together to get that....Oh, and I did a few slight UV edits here and there to get it just right, but meh, its mostly other people's glorious work, slapped together to suit my very particular tastes...heh.

P.S. I've thought about trying to get the proper permissions to release it as a set, however, I'm lazy for one, and I don't even have a clue how I could get hold of Hedgehog to make the request, besides, I'd have some touching up to do, as well as renaming of some meshes/textures to make sure they don't cause any conflicts with Hedgehog's original Ebony set(I don't actually use his mod to replace ebony armor because I felt it was just too freaking good looking to be ordinary and common ebony). I just utilized his meshes/textures for my own custom armor, and made my modifications so that I could achieve making something of my own despite having 0 skills in blender, as this was all done with gimp and nifskope....anways, its still not perfect, there are a few areas that I feel could be touched up, but its good enough for me for now.

I liked this shot feels like some renaissance still life painting - I always enjoy the domestic scenes - makes me wonder how the player accumulated the different things like there's differnt stories wrapped up in the shot

Is that shirt just from BC, with Darknut's textures?
I don't think I see many NPCs wearing it, because it looks new to me. Maybe it's just the lighting.

My thoughts exactly :)

Just a few quickly taken shots of my new character who's just arrived in Balmora. The Nightblade, Elur Aythil.

I hope you enjoy them. I hope that future screens will be a bit more pro looking, but this was a nice test of a few techniques.

P.S: Thanks a bunch, povuholo, Now I'm really torn on whether to go Thief or Morag.

Yes it is, none of the stuff on there is mine. It isn't until I examine the screenshot again now that I notice that there's some sort of puzzle box on the table.

I am using BC with Darknut's Textures but I'm not sure which shirt it is. I think it's from an NPC from Starfire's NPC Additions so that shirt could just as well be from tribunal.

Makes them fit better as well. Take a look at the comparison shot for the mod at PES- the pants look much better- smooth and unsegmented, without the "doll joint socket" effect of non Better Bodies.
