Just started Morrowind this weekend with help from some of the folks here in the mod forum. The game doesn't look too bad now for such an old game and I'm sure I'll be tweaking the graphics a bit more as time goes by. My initial reaction was "oh hell no!" when I saw the stock game. Thankfully I was given some good advice here.

Wow, povuholo. How does your game look so... crisp? Or is there some special shadow shader being used? I cant put my finger on it, but it looks gorgeous...

To bad photobucket shrinks the pics, I play at 1920x1600 on a 24" monitor which makes a vast difference to sense of depth compared to the pics you see here.

Anyone know a free site I could upload full size images?

:)

You can change an option in Photobucket by clicking on the 'more options' link right under the upload images & videos link. Besides several resolutions it also allows you to set a maximum filesize (1 MB) instead, so you can have pictures of any size as long as it's under 1 MB.

I'm using a SSAO shader which adds a fake shadow effect to things (http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1076125-mge-screenshot-thread-%235/page__view__findpost__p__15823122, it gives a pretty heavy performance hit though), Darknut's armor and weapon textures, http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6655 for the coins, and Connary's retextures for everything else (Everything wooden, scrolls, the cave, the drink on the table,). Also the pluginless head replacer Vvardenfell Visages for the smuggler's head.

Connary removed his texture replacers for the moment but you can still get all of them combined http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2JRYL4BT (and I think it has been uploaded to a couple of other places as well).

Shame I couldn't get the heads animated. And those paws, meh...I didn't really want to use them but I didn't have another option.

Eh no. It's 189 MB. :P

Which one?

Or was that picture with the coins I posted Fort Frostmoth? In that case I'm using Knu's SSAO shader.

A new forum bug that occurs if you have a # in the title apparently. Until it's fixed moderators have to rename the threads.
