"Screw vampires! Give us werewolves

Post » Mon Sep 12, 2011 9:30 am

Sheogorath:
"Werewolves? Vampires? No, no... What we need is Cheese. Yeah.. Cheese.. WereCheese!"

Well said young man! well said indeed!
That's exactly what I would have said, if I had decided to say anything at all.
Well....maybe not...maybe so, either way we'll never know now will we?

Someone Tweet Pete. Ask them if it's the Cyrodilic vampires to make a return. I bet we will see a revised "Immortal Blood" version II.

"So, tell me of the vampires of Skyrim."

"I told him what I could. That the Volkihar clan were wiped out by a larger, more poweful tribe called "The Bethesda".

I'm thrilled about the vampire thing--but I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for werewolves, because they are awesome. I really want to see werewolves, but I do have to admit, personally, I would take vampires over werewolves, if I had to choose.

@DCDeacon Sorry, I have to ask: is the Volkihar clan returning? Or the Cyrodillian? Can you become either? Or just one strand?

I prefer werewolves over vampires myself, but c'mon--Why do people keep bringing this topic up? 1. The devs have said repeatedly that they aren't going to answer any questions about werewolves. 2. The game is almost finished, so no amount of begging is going to change whether werewolves are in or out. 3. We'll just have to wait and see; It's only 61 more days, or 8 weeks and 5 days, or approximately two moons if you prefer.

We want them only to tell us whether or not they will be in the vanilla game, which they refuse to do.

Hey! Lady Syl! I keep hoping for werewolves too...And you know my choice...

RELEASE THE HARE...AND AT THE TRUMPET'S SOUND...GRAB YOUR SPEAR AND LOOSE THE HOUNDS...CALL THE HUNTSMAN WHEN THE PREY IS FOUND...THEN HUNTSMAN BOLD SHALL STRIKE WITH BITTER MERCY AND TEAR IN EYE...AT THE FINAL BLOW WHEN REALIZED...WE ARE ALL PREY...AND ALL MUST DIE...

Here, have some gameplay.

That crap was far more exciting than that entire video, to be honest. Although, Todd filled in the "crappiness" with his attractive quirkiness.

One word: Twilight. Ever since that scene came out, Vampires have been becoming less and less of an object of fear, and more of a sixual/love appeal. Same with werewolves.

I can only hope the vamps in Skyrim have at least some scare appeal to them. A vampire in a dark cave rushing you with fangs extended and a demonic hiss/growl sound would suit me much better. As for being a vampire, I hope there's more than there was in OB.

Fear? I've never in my life been scared of vampires, I've always found them as love appeal unless its ugly vampires but still not scary. Still i agree with you about it being batter if they actually bite attack you instead of tapping you with a sword and infecting you that is really lame. Although we can now poison bows instead of arrows so it'll probably be the same as OB.

Oh and so I don't out of the topic let me add that I would like werewolves also at least they don't get sun damage. I still doubt we can be them if they are in it though.

Vampire the masquerade was more about seduction and "the embrace" rather than ferocity, unless of course you were playing as the Sabat.. I am surprised I even know any of that.. a bit disappointed in myself actually. But vampires have always been treated this way. More aristocratic and less ferocious. I hope they put the werewolves in the game to counter balance it all. At this point I would be a little surprised if werewolves were not in the game. It fits Skyirm so well.

Wait! Wait!!!

We can poison bows now?!

WTF?

How does that even make sense? The ARROW is what should be poisoned *the tip* since that is what hits the enemy NOT the bow

hmm, I have an Idea. For someone who likes tweeting questions to Pete, ask it a different way. A way they don't have to give a straight answer but we can get a hint out of it:

EX: "I know you do not want to talk about if werewolves are in the game or not, however is this answerable. Yes or no, during the development of the game did you at any time work on any assets for werewolves aka: possible story lines, graphic content, gameplay design etc. Whether or not they are in did you make any attempt to make any content for this feature?"

Its not perfect but If we get a yes from them that will give us something else to speculate over...

hope this made sense?
