I screwed myself.

I changed my race without knowing the handy trick and gained a lot of points. Yet I don't know how to decrease my attributes permanently.

Any way to go back to my defaults? Thanks.

EDIT: I also used advskill to level up my Heavy Armor and Blade back to normal, and I now have a level up message.

Reload a previous save? Im not entirely sure about what "handy trick" you mean but you could try using the console to manually set your attributes, should be on here somewhere http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Console

In the future, always make a new save before doing anything with the console :P

Thanks for the help, I will follow that next time ;)

I decided to manually reset all of my skills to a lower and/or equal place in the level chart, player.setav seemed to help me dearly with that.

Since I did that, Will everything work fine now?

EDIT: By the handy trick, I meant the technique where you leave up the save, don't press done, and It'll automatically leave your skills when your race is changed.
