In the beginning of Death From Above, Scribe Rothchild tells me to "step in front of the map" and does nothing, often wandering on his own. Often, he'll disappear completely, putting my quest marker out in the middle of the map. How do I continue with the quest?

Are you playing on PC or console?

If on PC, you can use either http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6470 or the console command setstage XX000802 20 (with XX being the load position for Broken Steel.esm) to get past that buggy part of the quest.

If on console, you could try knocking him unconscious and dragging his body over to the map.

On 360,

I either reload the autosave, or the save I made before entering, you have a lot of saves right? Or hit him, and run away, then come back, saving of course, before you try to hit him.
