I could swear I did this once. But now it is not working.
Scripting an activator to cast at an object.

I tired to use another activator but the CS complain that it was not a valid ref for casting target.
I tried to use a misc object but the spell shot off in a obtuse direction (not at the object.).

Do I need to use a marker instead?

ok, well tried again with a different name for the activator and the CS took it this time.

So the name I was trying to use was "bad" some how.

so...I guess I am OK now. That was strange...

Most likely cause - starting a ref name with a number.

It's not really mentioned anywhere, but the CS won't let you name refs that way. Or rather it will, but scripts that refer to them won't work.
