Scripting errors in Mothership Zeta

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:21 pm

UK GOTY Ed, just playing Mothership Zeta, towards the end (so I'm told) I'm stuck because script triggers were not triggered, as it seems.
After the spacewalk and having the others teleported to the room shortly before the boss fight (told) the girl is supposed to open two doors. She openes the first, at the second the soldier is running around aimlessly and the girl basically does nothing, I think the script broke due to the soldier standing in her way.

Anything I can do about it? Activate the trigger from the console maybe?
Tried going through the door with clipping diabled, seems I'm missing something here tho, get stuck further on then without knowing what to do.

Or is there mabye even an update?

Trying a former save and going thru the spacewalk again was even worse, the switch that would activate the teleporter which pulls the rest to that room doesn't activate the teleporter in the first place.

You could try the http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3808 if you haven't already :) Be sure to get the Broken Steel update which fixes the crashing near Rivet City (it's somewhere in this forum). Or you can uninstall it after leaving Zeta. You may have to start further back in order for the quest to properly update though.

First comment on that is:
"Fixes a lot of very minor bugs that are barely noticeable and replaces them with a variety of hangs and CTDs."

That's robbing Peter to pay Paul. Right now I consider going back to a pre-MZ save and leave it out altogether, it's bland anyway.

Got through - went back to an old savegame, saved about every two seconds, didn't talk to anyone unless absolutely necessary, worked. Tho I guess more coincidence than root cause oriented.
