Scripting a follower to go where you tell them to

I have made a follower, I`ve got the wait and follow comands working but I want to be able to tell them to go home when I want. I assume that I would have to have them set with a find quest and the location, but it is adding the topic part that confuses me. Could some one please help me. My concern to is that if I wing it and fingure out how to get them to go to that local, with they stay there? does the new topic automatically overwrite the previous one? plus, I have to ask my follower to follow me twice through two seperate dialogues for him to come. I followed the instructions on CS wiki and here to a T.

Actually, you probably want to use a Travel package set to Editor Location for the AI package. Adding a new conversation option for that should be similar to how you did the wait and follow commands. As for the rest, I don't know how you're doing it but If you are forced to go through two separate dialogues for your companion to follow you, then you must have done something wrong.
