I, as a video game developer, video game supporter, and Elder Scrolls fanatic am deeply saddened and sickened at the news I read today that your company Bethesda is suing someone for using the word "Scrolls" in a video game title.
The Elder Scrolls is hands down the greatest video game ever created and that is exactly what I tell people when discussing such things. The Elder Scrolls is the main reason why I entered school for game development and Bethesda is the company I wish to work for when I graduate. However, today's news of this lawsuit leads me to believe that Bethesda/Zeni-Max is just another Big Bully publisher looking to squash the little guy and feign ownership over a word that has existed for thousands of years a' la Tim Langdell.
If this lawsuit is something that Bethesda/Zeni-Max pursues further - you will lose forever my dedication, support, and exuberance for your products.
Bethesda is truly one of the handful of "special" developers that routinely "raise the bar" for what a video game and a developer can achieve. Today however, I feel that regardless of how high you're holding that bar above your head, it matters not if you're drowning in the [censored] that the video game business is devolving into.
