Quick question:
Does Rank 4 make a noise when it activates on the last round and you gain ammo (like Idiot Savant, Grim Reaper's etc)?
Cheers

K cheers I'll give it a go, some of the Luck Perks have silly noises (IMHO) but I know its each to their own.
I think I lasted 15 mins with that and reloaded, ruins the perk completely, same for the other Luck Perks like Grim Reapers. Just dumbs down the perk by giving it, I can't remember if it made a noise in F3/NV but it certainly wasn't as intrusive.
I admit its hilarious, but after the 10th time in as many minutes it starts to grate a bit.
GRS is awesome, but I took all the Luck perks on one character and my ears start bleeding if everything triggers at once
I wish I could take the perks, but turn the sound effect off.
To confirm what was said above I just added Rank 4 to my character and spent a few minutes firing bullets off the top of my house, it worked ok (and silently!) with a Combat Rifle / Hunting Rifle giving 10 rounds back each time it triggered. Couldnt get it to trigger with a Shotgun (none combat) so presumably the gun must have a clip for it to work.
Wonder if it will work on my Fatman
I've had it work on the Double Shotgun. I hope it works with the Fat Man... or the MIRV.
What do you mean "make a noise"? I thought scrounger just made it so we found more ammo in containers. Why would it make noise by activation? This isn't fortune finder or something
"Rank 4: There is a chance to gain ammo when firing the last round in your clip. "
Its a luck base activation, some of the other perks when they activate make a noise - Idiot Savant being the best example (but the worst noise )
Yea and i remember the fortune finder rank 4 gives a chance for enemies to explode into caps or something which would make a sound. I just don't think this would have an impact on gameplay much outside of getting a free round back.
Speaking of which does the scrounger say what common ammo is added with the other ammo you find in containers? I know 2mm EC rounds are now affected which is fantastic seeing how it was rare in ammo boxes
Its purely a nice to have perk for me, some of my normal perks I'd take such as Grim Reaper I won't take as the sound effects are really annoying so I'm taking other perks instead.
The last patch increased the types of ammo it affects, not all but most.
I wished mini-nukes were in ammo boxes a bit more frequent as they are now
Lvl 3 Merchant sells them, I have 2 Lvl 4 merchants at the same settlement so dont know if that affects it but my L3 guy sells nukes semi regularly.
I took this perk like 40 levels back and thought it just added even more rounds to ammo boxes and such. Reading is fundamental I guess. I always reload when there's a good pause in the action so I never noticed it before, but after playing around with it today, it does seem to work on every weapon, even the fat man. Seems to give you one full reload back when it works. Anyway, no, it doesn't make a sound.
In fairness, before the 1.4 patch the text for rank 4 read "find even more ammunition in containers" even though it always did exactly what the updated description says.
I've only recently taken it so didnt have pre 1.4, wouldnt surpirse me if it was wrong before that tho
I've just created a level 3 weapon merchant at Starlight Drive In but the girl has never sells the mini-nukes. I think some of you are confusing that with Missiles and i'm currently on patch 1.2 because i was doing some stuff before 1.3 and forgot to update
No its definately Mini Nukes he sells that I'm loading into my MIRV
I'll do a screenshot next time he's selling.
Sanctuary is 20-25 people strong with 4 Lvl 3 and 2 Lvl 4 merchants and high happiness if that counts for anything.
Yay! Me not stoopid!
Nah, level 3 weapons vendors definitely sell nukes on a fairly regular basis.
All I'm saying is my game is saying otherwise when I check the vendor on that level 3 thing.
