So were on a boat. will swimming under or around the barge be something we can do or should do? and could diving be an option. a level that is a sub or underwater facility that you can just swim to. can we fight in or from the water. things that other games can't or won't do. not saying they should just what are we aloud to do. biggest thing i want to know is can the water be an escape or a death.

I don't have a link (lazy me) but I'm pretty sure SD has said no to swimming in both developer diaries and in interviews.

The ark isn't a "boat", its a floating man-made island. Having the opportunity to jump off into the water to run away might be interesting, but the majority of the maps aren't "waterfront". Most of them appear to be in various buildings of importance to the story. Even in the container city footage, the only time you are close to the water is at the security spawn.

Besides that, most weapons don't like to work properly underwater.

This isn't Lost Planet 2. Focus on the bigger parts, quick fluid movement around the environment.

I dont think theres gonna be swimming, plus where would we swim? You said that there could be something like a boat but that would be just one level.

It would depend how well you can swim cause i don't think a heavy with a 50 pounds gatling gun(i don't really know how much it weighs) could swim.

wich would again make the heavy a horrid choice, another reason not to put it in

I got to admit, swimming around would be pretty cool.
