I don't know. I have mixed feelings about cut scenes. I already hate the "cut scene" when you sit down, as it switches to that horrible 3rd person mode while doing it. If my character was performing an animation where I could see my body in 1st person, while having mouse control over my head, then sure. But similar to FarCry2 (and possibly RDR, don't know), they should be short anims for immersion, not the real deal. It takes longer to repair a car or skin an animal, but I wouldn't want realism here
If 1st person keep that horrible overlay based graphics instead of fully animated 3D arms, combined with fixed animation rather than adaptive to what you try to do, there is no point in adding pickpocketing or opening or knocking on doors either. If I'm close enough for interaction, the E - Activate pops up, I hit the key, and now my arm reaches out using inverse kinematics to perform the animation required by the action, and the door opens or pocket is picket etc.
