Wonder how this will turn out? Will we see an influx of new users demanding their free season pass if it gets taken away? (Which it probably will considering they don't have to honour a mistake)
Yeah I'm assuming much like any mistake in pricing I've seen previously, there is a clause in whatever marketplace that states they don't have to honor it. Almost nabbed a $3500 Canon for $350 haha when I worked at Best Buy years ago this happened a few times. We had the usual complainers "I'll sue for false advertisemant" haha even though a mistake is not considered malicious in nature. So yeah, bet on seeing some people throw fits about it
This was all over the Fallout groups on Facebook last night.
So many people were convinced that they'd be obligated to honor this. There's a chance that they will, but I highly doubt it. Just about any online retailer, and especially big established corporations like Sony, are going to have some kind of clause in the fine print stating that they are not obligated to honor prices that were posted in error. There were (obviously) a ton of people trying to scam the system. People were changing their console locations or something like that to Greece and using it to get the pass for free. There will be people throwing fits about it when they find out that it won't be honored. We'll have a bunch of people posting on here about it after the "sorry to inform you" emails are sent out.
Personally I'd rather pay for it then take advantage of an error on a website. Bethesda is my favorite game developer, and I have no problem supporting them by legitimately purchasing their products as I always have.
Took me about a minute to find it. Right from the Playstation Store -
"Errors in listed prices, product descriptions, and associated terms and conditions may occur. If we discover an error in the price of items you have ordered, we will contact you. You will have the option of either reconfirming your order at the correct price or canceling it. If we are unable to contact you, your order will be cancelled."
In the transactions section, here - https://www.playstationnetwork.com/terms-of-service/
Even though Bethesda/Sony are still in the right, people will still be complaining. ''You owe me my free stuff that i got when i took advantage of an error''
That's when we think of creative ways of mocking said person on these forums.
Of course. There will be tons of people coming on here and making some empty argument about false advertising and stuff like that.
