Season pass worth it?

Post » Sat Mar 19, 2016 11:21 pm

I forgot to buy it at $30, so now I can't bring myself to play $20 more for that mistake. So I will be waiting for a sale, that's the great thing about single player games, I am in no rush.

That, when combined with the number of developers who've failed to release anywhere near enough DLC to justify the expense, should explain why Season Passes are so reviled by gamers.

I managed to get the season pass for PS4 for the $30. Now I'm waffling on if I want to pick it up again for pc.

I actually got it for $26 or 24, can't remember which. Greenman gaming had a 20% off coupon or something

At this point, unless you're in a hurry to play all the DLC, it might be prudent to wait and see how the first wave of DLC turns out - right now the total cost is $40, so if you buy the season pass you'll get paying for this wave and only $10 for all future DLC (which they promise to be "at least $60 worth of content".

That's if you want to wait until May to play *any* of the DLC.

All I can say. As Others have said, I am glad I got it at $30 time will tell about the $50

I will say this though, it is a way of supporting Bethesda to want to make more content, while that should not be the sole reason. It is one that is commonly over looked.

Also, do you like the thoughts of the content coming out? Could you see them as $50 worth of value to you perhaps?

I look at it this way, every 10 hours to me is worth $1

With that as a formula, I paid $60 for fo4 I have almost 700 hours in game. So I have gotten my moneys worth.

Everyone has there own formula though for there $ to worth it though, my point is, it is a good way to tell if you are happy about a purchase :)

I think a lot of it would be based on your opinion of the game, and what you want out of the DLC. I loved the base game. The DLC doesn't need to blow me away. Another $30 for a game I loved isn't a big deal. Even if I didn't like it, having spent $90 even on just the base game is OK. The hundreds of hours I got out of it would justify it. Now on the other hand, someone who was just meh about the base game and hoping the DLC would change their opinion of the game, that it might add features or change existing one might want to hold off

Worth it in my book. I have yet to be disappointed by a Bethesda product.
