Season pass worth it?

Post » Sat Mar 19, 2016 10:26 pm

Should I get it? Any info on how much DLC Bethesda is expecting to release?

it was most definitely worth it when it was $29.99, only time will tell if it's worth $49.99.

It was most certainly worth it before March. You would have basically bought Far Harbor for the normal $25 and both Automatron and Wasteland Workshop for just $5. Now with the price increase to $50, its hard to say considering we have no info on any future DLC.

Only thing we know is that the DLC in total will be $60 worth of content when its all said and done.

It was $30? That's pretty unusual, the cost of season passes is usually a standard $50

When it was $30 yes but now I'm not sure. If you plan to get the first 3 DLC packs anyways I say get or wait until all the DLC is revealed then decided.

It was originally $30 from October to March 1st but they raised the price because they are going to add more then they originally thought.

Considering how much each DLC cost a la carte in the previous two games, I would say yes, especially since there are more unannounced dlc on the horizon. The whole idea of a season pass is to give you a bulk price discount for buying all dlc at once. How would charging more than individually purchased dlc make sense?

People will wait until it goes on sale, and I will almost bet that the Winter Steam sale this year will see all the FO4 DLC at a minimum 50% off.

Maybe. All I know is that season pass will likely be cheaper than buying a la carte. Whatevers. I got in early, before the game dropped.

For people who trust Bethesda's output and buy all the DLC anyway, it's an easy choice (and was more so when it was even cheaper).

For people who want to see what the content is and are likely to buy only some of the DLC, then waiting may be better.

I guess at some point they reviewed what they had made and decided.. "hey, we're selling ourselves short here." At any rate, nobody can really say for sure since nothing has been released yet, but we are going to be getting lots of stuff. It's a hard decision to make when you really have no idea what you'll be getting. What they've currently announced is going to add up to around 34 dollars individually. There's more on the way... It's pretty much up to you. No matter what, you can pretty much guarantee that you'll at least save a few bucks with the season pass.

As others say, the lower price was an easy buy, now you'e trusting Bethesda's word to deliver if you fork out 50 notes.

Really depends. From a quantity standpoint I'm sure it will be. The real question is will it be worth it from a quality standpoint. Take FO3. IMHO, the only good DLC was the Pitt. A season pass there wouldn't have been worth the cost

I personally would have paid 50+ for the season pass/dlcs because a game of this quality is hard to find. But I got It early muahahah.

I believe there's two more large-ish DLCs after Far Harbor, plus whatever smaller stuff like Automatron and Wasteland Workshop are still rattling around in the works.

Yeah I pre-ordered both the game and season pass so I got the $30.00 version, so now it's $20.00 more but if you like the game and the extra $20.00 isn't an issue I would buy it just cuz I like the game and want some new things to do...

Huh, the games I've played, the pass has been less than that. 30-40? Of course, I don't play the big CoD/Battlefield/etc multiplayer games with all the map packs.

But yeah, I'd been holding off on the pass until some details got released. They released details, said it was going to get more DLC/cost more, and I grabbed it before the price increased. :P At $50, without knowing more about what's coming? I'd likely still be holding off.... after all, $10 off on $60 isn't as big of a discount as $10 on $40. At the 50 price, I'd wait to see if there are any DLC you won't care about, that could easily save you $10 as well.

As many have said at $30 it was worth the buy, but personally if I had to pay $50 I'd just wait and pick and choose what dlc I wanted after release. An example is the workshop dlc, I don't really use settlement building so it doesn't interest me and if I didn't have a season pass I wouldn't own it.

Ot just wait until it gets cheaper and until there is a sale. But the only Fallout 4 Dlc that actually interests me is Far Harbor.I'm not interested in Automatron and the Wasteland Workshop at all so I won't pay the full price regardless.

Depends. If you are on a pc, and are into modding I'd just wait. Construction kit is coming out in under a month. By then we should have more info on the next dlc, and you can make a better decision. Right now, modding is a pain in the butt because of keyword limits.

As a long time Bethesda games player usually the expansions/dlc is always worth it, even some of the dlc for Oblivion was pretty well worth it. This could be me being biased though I'm often one to call Bethesda out on their bad points but yea, I'd say it's worth it.

you can get it at https://www.funstockdigital.co.uk/fallout-4---season-pass-steam-key-pc-download for 42 euro (18% off) and I think you can stack another 10% off with the code MAR-COUPAW-SMART10. http://Greenmangaming also has 23% off at the moment. That should get you closer to the "original" 30 if you're on PC that is. Then I would say it's worth it, no doubt. It's legit sellers so not like g2a so I presume it's fine posting the links?

I rarely buy a game without a discount anymore, heh.. Got fallout 4 + the season pass as a pre-order below the price for only fallout 4 (without season pass) on steam.

EDIT: guess it doesn't matter much if you live in US though, since with steams logic 49,99€ = 49.99$. Which is stupid. But if you live in EU and pay with euro it's worth it.

I still would buy $50 season pass for FO4... but I probably won`t feel good about it.

...I know this doesn`t help.

....but nobody can help you at this point about buying season pass.
