Seasoning shot

I'm a complete newb of a modder, but I sorta play around in the geck.

On a lark I wanted to create a Seasoning Shot 12G shell, à la http://www.seasonshot.com/Home.cfm :liplick:

Is it posible to get animals to drop "Seasoned Gecko Meat", or whatnot depending on the animal, on their death?
Like the coinshot adds mangled denarii to it's victims, but where the meat is dependant on the creature?

I'm pretty sure this is possible. I'm guessing you would have to make a new meat for each creature and then make the new ammo. Then have a script run when the shot hits an animal that would check the animal and then replace the usual meat with the new "seasoned" meat. Thats all I can really help with, unfortunately. I'm not big on scripting.

Also, I laughed loud enough that I woke my dog up when I read your link. :D

Yeah, I've not done any proper scripting before either. Most of what I've done (re: all of what I've done) is just modifying values or having a poke around for personal interest.

I haven't been able to find a list of script functions that I could use either.

After a look around, I found GetIsID...but I think that would be way too clunky to check every animal ID in the game.


Is there any easier way to do this? Such as checking what the animal in question drops, and changing any meat to it's seasoned variant?

I can add the seasoned meat easily enough, but can someone help me with the scripting? Please :confused:
