Seasons unending bug

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 10:22 am

I'm experiencing a rather common (according to the multiple google sources I found of people having the same problem) bug/glitch with the quest "Season Unending" on Skyrim.

When I go to speak to Ulfric Stormcloak he will not talk to me but instead says "speak to galmar. you and he will be going on an errand". This is because I had already started the "joining the stormcloaks" quest while simultaneously doing the main quest line. I go to speak with Galmar and he won't enter a conversation with me either. He just says "i don't know how you convinced Ulfric to talk with the empire. Worse than a waste of time if you ask me."

So basically both characters are glitched and there is no way to continue the main quest line. I thought that the new update would be a fix for this bug and bugs like it but to my dismay it was not.

Is any effort being made to fix this bug or am I permanently stuck on this stage of the main quest?

I have the same problem bit season unending and the jagged crown quest. I have 80+ hours of gameplay but still haven't finished the main quest because it is bugged. I too thought this would be fixed with the patch but was very disappointed to find it had not been addressed. Come on Bethesda, how can you ignore or overlook such a game breaking bug????

You don't think I've tried reloading or restarting?

It's taking them a long time to fix this or maybe they're ignoring it... Either way it's frustrating.

See, here's the thing that gets my goat.

Todd Howard loves to use the "PC's have too many configurations to make sure it works right on every single computer out there!".

And you know what? I'd agree with him and leave it at that.

Except this game was developed with the Xbox 360 as the primary platform.

The Xbox360 has one [censored] configuration. Yet its version of the game is full of bugs.

The PS3 has one [censored] hardware configuration.

Yet its version of the game is full of bugs.
