That factor in console players aswell? I find it a little hard to believe such and old game has pull over modern games but its not entirely impossble.

Sigh.....they are Steam stats.

For this type of game, and after watching the vids. 20 Sec waves looks just fine. Anything less would probably not work too well considering all the objectives. Plus as long as youre playing with competent ppl you should get revived anyways.

No wave is very hard to coordinate. That's why I think there should be wave respawn, especially if you're planning to go competitive. Timing an attack with the respawn wave of the enemy could be crucial to victory or defeat. It also gives the team a chance to group up easily and fully prepared for battle.

Imho, the time between waves should vary on objective, part of the map and setting (pub or comp)

Well, that just explains a lot.

I'll be the first to say that computer players, for some reason, do play a lot more for the team (perhaps its cus on the majority theyre older) but the the lone wolf is extremely plentiful on the Consoles.

I think I'll leave it at this. I do agree implementing team based, objective gameplay is a great leap in gaming today. I will agree implementing abilities and attributes into a game to boost such teamwork is a great idea. However, this should be done in a positive way and not a way that does not simply suggest, gameplay but forces it. The 20 second respawn is this forced stimulis which I don't think will have positive outcomes. However, I am not above being proven wrong and hope I am pleasently suprised. However, I've seen such things before an know not to say anything is not the way to go. Thats just it.

Instant spawn and up to 10second spawn waves would likely unbalance them maps in such a favor for defense that people would never play attackers.
Try playing TF2 Payload with instant spawn, chances that you are going to make it as attacker is next to none.
