Second playthrough.

I made a mistake. I traded-in New Vegas . I had not finished the main quest. Simply got distracted by another game (in this case, Dead Space 2). Even if I ended up enjoying DS2 very much, I felt like I missed something.
Well, I got another copy of NV (cheaper this time) and started another playthrough. I am enjoying it even more this time around. I have decided to take my time with it. Explore and loot everything I can find. So far, I have found
5 locations that I had overlooked on my first time. I am also trying some new approaches on the side-quests. This game is very rewarding and overwhelming. As I write this, I am beginning to wonder what I did not find in my
only playthrough of Fallout 3. Guess I will be starting again soon. Anyway, New Vegas is really a great game.

If you're anything like me, you probably missed a lot. Even on my fourth playthrough of Fallout 3 I'm still finding things I previously missed.

I think they're both great games, and now I will quickly go and don my flame retardant suit.

Yea i agree i get like that as well i will play the [censored] out of something intensly put it down read EVERYTHING either on the boards or the Vault and go back in. I have atm another character going just going to all the places i know i missed the first few time through. There is so much to do that i just no matter how hard i try always seem to miss something with each play. I have not decided just what kind of character she will be yet but so far i have just about shot everybody who needed it and few that were questionable, and as a chick no single group has paid more than the Legion. Taxing that Legion ass one .44 at a time.

67 hours into my 7th game and I've planned an 8th game for some time in the future. This one was an Unarmed build that I had never done before and it's one of the best of the 7 games...lots of fun and different. I was just reading Josh Sawyer's answers to some questions and he said the next patch would have mods appearing more often at some vendors. I have no idea what else might change but if things change, it helps to keep it fresh again. Glad you got the game again. :) Here's that Q&A.

Q: "Why did you make weapon mods so rare? I've only seen them spawn randomly in two or three shops after several days, you never get one as a quest reward or find one locked in a safe or something.

Josh: Their frequency in stores (esp. Gun Runners) should be significantly improved when the next patch comes out."

50 hrs???? You need to be putting 160-230hrs in an nv man with 1 dlc or your cheating your self. My 1st man has 260hrs and I m still on grid searches. Not even close to wiki time.

Fo3 my 1st man had close to 750 hrs with all dlc. Everyone else I made was over at least 230hrs. When I finally broke and looked on wiki(cheated) there were several things i missed. in 2400 total hrs I never found all the bobble heads. They were right there in wiki I just couldn t bring myself to do it. There s also a few things that normal humans were just not going to find or figure out without some help.

If you re looking to do find see everything fast travel is not your friend in either game. Walking different ways to get to the same place is the key. Or you could just buy a guide or look on wiki, but thats kind of like fo cheating.
