Very nice vid, thank you Gstaff

As an energy weapons lover I almost jizzed my pants when he started talking about the recharger rifle,
I can understand if it does little damage but what the hell do I care :fallout:

Why weren't they using iron sights? Hope it's just because they didn't want to show them off yet. But still, that looks a bit worrysome to me for some reason.
Other than that, awesome information. I love how they keep stressing that they've got way more guns than FO3, and so far they all look pretty awesome.

There will be a 'gooing' effect when you kill someone with an energy weapon, i've seen it, but it looks a lot better!

This is a great video, it shows heaps of cool stuff and they put so much effort into it! THANK YOU!

I remember someone mentioning that there will be a mix of old Mark Morgan, Inon Zur from Fallout 3, and some new stuff Inon Zur made. If not, I hope the soundtrack isn't mostly orchestral like Fallout 3. A balance is good. Also, I hope they created a less obnoxious level up theme. I hated that.

I think it was just them hip-firing, there isn't always a need to use those irons. :tops:

Huh...one little thing I noticed, at around 2:18, when the player is shooting at a Ranger Ghost with a scoped revolver, the condition bar doesn't have the "maintenance" notch. I wonder if it's just because the footage is from before it was implemented, or if the maintenance notch is only for certain weapons? Or something else entirely?

Also, I'm totally not trying to be nitpicky, but it's just something that caught my eye this moment, haha.

What's with Chris Avellones voice?

What do you mean? His voice is much more tolerable than at E3, After all that talking at E3 his voice sounded so hoarse and raspy. His normal voice sounds very unique and soft.

I noticed the courier was shooting at a guy called "ranger ghost".
I imagine these will be NCR ranger scout snipers or some other kind of stealthy specops guy.
I wonder if they use stealth boys? Would fit with the name.

Yeah and did you notice the Hunting Pistol, the most powerful handgun in the world :hubbahubba: , only took off about 4 health bars? That's one high hit point MF.

Except that they were sometimes hip-firing really long distances. Doesn't make sense.
Probably that they didn't want to reveal the sights.
For some reason I can't wait to see the mini MP40's sights.

or because you know..it was a demo.

Naturally there not gonna care about playing the game "proper" there just walking around, causing havoc to show off.

What is it with this "if I don′t see it, it must svck" paranoia?

Looks great... very nice video's, and I love how they are putting the fine attention into the audio components of the game.

It always bothered me that there wasn't too much distinction between a weapon firing outdoors vs indoors. Dunno why, probably because it doesn't sound normal to me.

I really, really can't wait.

I agree with UndeadRomero they souldnt have hip shooting so long range <_<
I can see that rechaging energy rifle being a staple in hardcoe mode

I was thinking the exact same thing. Run out of ammo and use this as a fallback!

May have to throw some points into EW for this baby... :)

I like the little bit of what the string quartet plays in the end of the video. Reminds me of Arcanum and the good times and atmosphere I had with it.

And though seeing Inon being seemingly just bashing random keys at one point looks a bit awkward, it gives me a strange hope of a more eerie and atmospheric soundtrack more fit for the setting than what he did with FO3.

This game looks incredible! (but on the subject of looks I have a minor question about shading).

http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj125/Gizmojunk/fonv.jpg
I don't see any shading. Can we hear what platform this video was taken on, and whether this was an older build, or had shadow options disabled (or are there any?).

*Now if you look close you do see his shadow, but what I'm talking about is shadows on him.

**Edit: Or is it just the lighting in the area... I see a lot of fires. (Ha.. I only just now saw the dead body )

Gamebryo. Bethesda style.

If I remember correctly, this iteration of it gets too resourcehogging if proper shadows are added (not my idea, but just what I seem to recall as an explanation for the lack of proper shadows in FO3).

Yeah I so want that hand-gun, reminds me of Paulson's revolver but Much more beautiful. I also Loved the look and sound of the pump shot-gun - my favorite kind of gun - looks fantastic!

It was neat to see Inon Zur and the sound-sets in action, this video really puts the emphasis on just how much goes into the production of a big game.
