These are some bases, but they're not secret: http://militarybases.com/massachusetts/

In http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1529468-super-mutant-terriers thread, I suggested that there is a Super Mutant Fortress built inside of the former Boston University. This would also be where the SM attack dogs come from...

Even though this wouldn't be a secret in-game, the fact that Todd hasn't announced it yet would still qualify (sorry Todd!)

I live about 20 miles south of boston. In the 50s there was a lot of bases here. I grew up near an airforce base that was closed down when i was a kid. Then there was a lot of army bases near me, again closed down. There was patriot missles down the street from my house. Basically its on the east coast so there was and may still be a lot of bases and defesive type places. Especially back in the day when fallout would have been taking pla e prewar.

I am looking forward to walking around and seeing town and city names I know.

Has area 51 created sub species and or super humans?? And why can’t the people of the world know whats going on in there? I would like to be amazed by the stuff I’ve heard to be true.

Beth can make up secret and public bases if they want. They try to be mostly faithful to our reality but since the game's set in an alternate reality anything goes.

There were also a number of small airfields that were overgrown or overbuilt over the years, and the Boston arsenal that had a reactor, not to mention it became a cleanup sight. Not to mention that Boston due to the Navy yard being right there had a large number of Nike sights.

Excellent! :-) I hope they put some of those military facilities in game .... Those locations like military base and sierra army depot in Fallout2 are the most interesting for me .... Mystery, who knows whats 5 levels underground ,spooky, searching for unique weapons, supply cashes, fighting security forces.....

Just make one up. The pre-war United States in Fallout wasn't the same as ours.

Anything you imagine will likely be cooler than a real-life military base. I've been on plenty of them and they're really not all that exciting.

It's a Fallout game, buddy. Derelict military facilities with still functional security measures are kind of a staple.
