South of Ivaarstead I think also.

There's a butterfly, moth, dragonfly, torchbug, and bee.

Interesting I noticed this on my Bee Jar to. Another secret I have noticed is the strange symbols carved into the door frame of some buildings.

Hmm. Maybe if we find all the words and mix them around it will spell some sort of message. You know, like an antagram I think it's called?

Possibly. It would be awesome if this were to lead to some type of real world loot, as in a cache full of microsoft points or something haha

Yeah, I guess you're right. Sorry I didn't think of that, I was too excited to share the find.

Saying that though, I'm glad you did post it else would have probably never known about it.

Just meant before someone gives away the final code if it is one. ;)

There's five bugs in jars; bee, moth, butterfly, dragonfly and torchbug. I already got three of them, so I'll go get the last two and post some screenies of the runes

For anyone wanting visual proof before they try to head out to find these jars, here's a video of someone using a jar to replace a skull on a a weighted pedestal. In the video around the 26 second mark you can plainly see the text "pig" in question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0I27fHbX770

I am just more and more amazed at the detail in this game. I have a fire bug in a jar but never thought to look really closely.

Don't click the link if you don't want to be spoiled?

The runes appear to be elder futhark, but I can't really make any sense of them.

Good eye, Fleapants. You seem to be correct about it being elder futhark. There seem to be some letters missing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elder_Futhark
Well, now that we know this maybe someone can help decode the message.

Anyone able to decode the message? I'm wondering if it's even worth decoding. It's intriguing, nonetheless.

Fascinating.
They look more like runes than letters from our alphabet though.

Maybe it doesnt really say 'pig', but just looks like it does.
Someone translated word walls not too long ago. Could we use that as a rosetta stone to see what the runes mean?
