Secret in Skyrim? : V

Has anyone else seen the secret messages written under insect jar lids? I have a bee in a jar and under the lid it says "bat". Someone else elsewhere says they have a butterfly in a jar and the underside of the lid says "pig". What is up with that? Nothing special or is there some kind of quest that involves these or is this just some kind of sporadic joke not to be paid much attention to, or what?!

I haven't come across any quests linked to them yet, I'd love to know if there is though.

That is interesting, I'll have to check that out later. I actually have the butterfly and the firefly bugs in their jars on a shelf in one of my homes.

Kinda exciting, really. Yeah, I had looked at the jar from the usual angles, but got all crazy and flipped it up and over and noticed the words and had this sort of "no way" moment. Glad to see not everyone knows just what this is or if it even matters. I can't find any information on it.

You just find them already in a jar. I think I got my bee in a jar when I did a specific Thieves Guild quest, but I could be wrong.

Sorry man, I can't remember exactly where I found that one. It would be in a dungeon around Whiterun somewhere though as I haven't traveled far with this character yet.

edit: I'm pretty sure that's where it is. During the quest where you need to burn 3 bee hives and break into Aringoth's (spelling?) safe. I think the jar is in his room. I hope I'm right.

NOTE: if anyone else can locate the other jars and tell us where they are at that would be awesome! Thanks for playing...

There's various symbols etched on the wooden halls of houses as well.

I found the firefly and the monarch, didn't there was bee or a moth. Guess I'll have to track them down! Not sure what the writing under the lid means, also not sure about the symbols. I've noticed them at Belethor's shop and above a chest in the Ratway, among other places that I can't remember.
