Security lights from the Mechanist

Post » Thu Mar 31, 2016 12:24 am

Anybody else experience an issue with theirs? I got the schematic and installed them and they all turned on (pretty cool actually) every time I come back to my settlement I have to open up the “work shop” and then click on each light to have them work again…. You may have this same problem if you have ceiling fans. Anyone else?

The regular spotlights have the same problem. I usually wire all spotlights to a switched pole or just a switch would work too. The when you get there and they don't work, just toggle the power off then back on and that turns them back on. You can also just turn the generator off then back on to fix them. Fast traveling to a destination is usually what causes this.

Bethesda needs to fix this already !

Where did you find the schematics? I found the Eyebot pod schematics, but not the Wall-Mounted Spotlight.

They're in the room with the workbenches, they look like blueprints on a table in there.

I've had this problem with spotlights too and I solved it by wiring my turrets/spotlights on a separate generator. Of course, this became too noisy and unnecessarily increased the size meter of my settlements so I ditched the plan. Also, would have loved an option to change them between stationary and oscillating.

I had this problem before on one of my settlements. I think I noticed the same ZeroLarge says but I don't remember what I did to solve it.

You can attach one of the timer switches to turn them off then back on again immediately every few minutes.
This resets the script it seems.

I've looked a bit further into this and its seems these new wall spotlights don't always turn back on with a power toggle!

You can still get them to work by moving them in workshop mode, but this makes them even worse than the old spotlights!!

Come on Bethesda fix this already.
