They can always return fire, its just a question of whether or not they can take targets down at will.

So that's why they use heavy armour. To be able to return fire after getting hit.

I am going to play as the resistance but I have to admit that I like the way the security looks more. I like the "clean" look. But looks aren't everything.

I gotta go with the Resistance's rugged looks.
I mean, how bad mother you have to be to go against a guy, who has full body kevlar armor and all kinds of hich-tech-looking
stuff and you're only wearing straps and garbage bags held together with rubber bands? That bad

By trying to contact people outside the Ark and helping the common people survive? Okay.....

There isn't any evidence that the Ark's higher ups aren't already trying to contact the outside world. It also seems that the refugees are being given enough to survive, they just want an equal share.

I prefer the resistance philosophically because they are the function of novelty, in the philosophical/political ever going contest of novelty vs. security. I of course mean novelty as in "new" FYI and not quirky. I lean towards novelty almost reflexively cause Intellectually speaking, the novel side usually hogs the majority of the brighter minds...though to be fair this is often enough because of novelty's mental six appeal and the insatiable concept-lust most bright guys quietly suffer.
again though, no side is clearly right, they all understand the situation poorly and they all want the same thing. And whats more both sides have equally sufficient reasoning to take action: the security guys are drawn to action because the 'preserve the founders vision' idea seems safe and the alternative is admittedly really [censored] dangerous and risky. They act on the flimsy hope they'll get contacted or stumble upon some unexamined possibility before the ark turns into a 50,000 man Donner party.
The Resistance guys are drawn to action because theyre terrified of the lives they're forced to live inside their rusty, grimy gangrene infection causing city, where when water rations are used as BRIBERY for people throw their lives on the line. Its important to note they also dont think the wait around for more options strategy is going to pan out very well for some of them(everyone they've ever known their entire lives, friend or enemy) so worst case scenario they get the [censored] out and find anything else. They act on the flimsy hope there is something more out there as well as the slightly less flimsy suspicion that those who are used to being well off have given themselves a bit more pie.
No side owes either side anything because they are all fully integrated in a codependent society that is dependent on emotionally and functionally on all of its moving parts, and if you play the who-owns-what game and think back far enough in time of ownership of said object you'll realize you're an idiot.

Its a really close to me. But ive always liked rebelious fashion. But im also into the strict bada** uniforms that for once actually look awesome unlike most security related games. Which is usually a button down shirt and a tie with a little pistol

I prefer the clean look of the Security to the ragged look of the Resistance. Purely personal opinion
