I suppose I'm oversimplifying the issue, but ultimately, the ingame politics take a back seat to gameplay, and The Bug looks badass. :gun:
Oh, I didn't mean for that to be directed toward you. I actually tend to lean more toward your direction, and also prefer the aesthetics of the Security as well. Honestly, it seems to me that it's slightly more often the hardcoe Resistance supporters that somewhat short-sighted.
I was more pro-security until it was revealed that they weren't letting the refugees leave. That's an area where the rationalization is immaterial to me, as it clashes with my personal ethics regarding initiatory force/aggression.
But on the other side of that, the "self-preservation" motive of the Resistance is somewhat thin, too, because I've seen no evidence that they aren't being provided enough to survive, and it seems more that they just want an equal share.
So while I appreciate the conflict from both sides, they also both seem to have irrational justifications for their actions.
