They aren't the bad guys. They just want to get off the Ark. The security are killing the refugees (The civilians that live in the slums) by not giving them enough food, water or basic necessities. But the security aren't letting them leave.

I'll still play security ofc.... at LEAST once through... I'm not going to not play half of an entire game on sheer principle

but I'm still going to favor Resistance... I'm a rebel through and through.

I think that like the devs said, there is no wrong or right. Both sides have justification for their positions. I'm going to play both Security and Resistance. After I finish both I'll pick a faction to side with philosophically. With that said I'll play both sides continually to keep the experience interesting and to see all the cool gear up close.

almost everybody here will be playing both sides. its not about what side you will play but what side you prefer

They are, but I'm pretty sure that a lot of people will play both sides. For the "complete" experience, some to be able to play competitively, ...
I'll still play Resistance as my first campaign, but when I kick in multiplayer gear I'll be playing both sides. I like attacking, I like defending, that's all ^^
