We generally do not allow forum games as they almost invariably become quite spammy. I'm willing to see how a puzzle thread like this works out but if it starts to slide it will be locked. So please everyone keep on your best behavior and make sure this doesn't become a chatty spamfest.

Well, translating it to letters doesn't say anything. :laugh:

I hope there's some thought behind those numbers. If so, this could be fun.

Typing it on a mobile phone with autocomplete on is

"Obsession episode nine"
"Foreigners Shrine nine"
"Confessions Shrine nine"
"Obsession Shrine nine"
"One esp god sir god nine"
"More spin drip inex"
"More spin drip god nine"

Is it a reference to the episode "Obsession" from the third season of X-Men? Obsession is the ninth episode in that season.

Archangel has become obsessed with destroying Apocalypse, who he blames for ruining his life. Beast finds an alternative to defeating Apocalypse. The X-Men trap Apocalypse in a force field, create a pod around it, and jettison it into the space; they then return to the X-Mansion.

Typing it on a mobile phone with autocomplete on is

"Foreigners Shrine 9"

or

"Confessions Shrine 9"

And inputting the number as a the number of times pressed on my keypad results in a chain of useless letters.

6 6 7 3 7 7 4 6 3 7 4 7 4 6 3 nine

nine is the odd one out because it is spelled.

Also, nine is the only unique one. There are four 6s, four 7s, thee 3s, three 4s, but only one 9. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You are wrong. There are five 7s.

That was one of the first things I did - count up the occurrences and see if they add to 9, but that doesn't work.

I'm not sure how this is a puzzle. It's a bunch of numbers using the numerical symbols and then one of them spelled out. So what? What is there to figure out? There's no problem, no question, no need to search for a solution.

The numbers added, minus nine equals 71.

The numbers multiplied, divided by nine equals 418,21,19,000, rounded off.

Re-typing each value by it's sequence order (the sixth number in the sequence, the sixt, the seventh, the third...), the numbers become 7 7 4 7 4 4 3 7 7 4 3 4 3 7 7. The ninth number is this new sequence is 7. Also, the number 7 is in this new sequence seven times.

6 6 7 3 7 7 4 6 3 7 4 7 4 6 3 nine

Hmm...

Well

6+6+7+3=22
22+7+7+4=40
40+6+3+7=56
56+4+7+4=71
71+6+3=80

80+nine = 89

*shrug*

6 6 7 3 7 7 4 6 3 7 4 7 4 6 3

4X6=24
5X7=35
3X3=9
3X4=12

24+35=59
9+12=21
21+59=80

9+80=89

...About the only thing I can see personally is 7 goes next to 4 three times and 6 goes next to 3 two times. Only once do we see 6 next to 7 and 6 next to itself. Nine seems to be spelled out for a reason and the only odd thing is it has 4 letters so it might not be 9 but 4.

maybe 6 6 7 3 77 4 6 3 7 4 7 4 6 3 4?

My mistake. But still, the recurring theme of the other numbers may mean something.

I think some of you are close...
What if the numbers correspond to the mobile keypad for a phone that uses T9..
If so that would mean that:
MNO
MNO
PQRS
DEF
PQRS
PQRS
GHI
MNO
DEF
PQRS
GHI
PQRS
GHI
MNO
DEF

but then there is "nine"...
maybe it spells something + the numerical number "9" on the end, perhaps a password to a million dollar bank account?!?! haha

Only thing I can think of is Knights of the Nine. Why because of the "nine" at the end.

Perhaps "nine" is to help you figure out what the digits spell. Maybe there's a nine-letter word in the message. Or maybe "nine" is a reference to some sort of interpretation of the message.

It could also be eefyffzeyezeeyb

What if it's a cypher? The nine could be the keystream needed to solve the numbers.
