I see you!

I heard thatin Skyrim, yu had a 3D map, where you ould see all the land marks and stuff. My question is, will you be able to see stuff you have never visited? Will you be able to see creatures and NPCs on the map? If the maps are like this, add another month to your calender, because thats how long you won't be seeing me for! :user:

I'm sort of hoping that there is some kind of "Fog of War" for undiscovered areas.

As for creatures? I doubt that it'll be that detailed.

I like to explore before i reveal the map, so have the intire map just things you havent discovered yet will be scribled or faded out.

The map 3D in Skyrim is somehow like the Total War Shogun 2 campaign map, you can zoom (and we can rotate too in Skyrim like in TW, I think), and you can see the cities, rivers, forests, and all the places of greater importance.

Able to see creatures and NPC's? I don't think so, no...

And it would be foggy in the places you havn't explored? How would you fast travel with a 3D map?

I have no problem with the in-game map having as much detail as the paper map that will presumably come with the game (at least there's been one with past games), and perhaps more detail once you've visited a place.

As for fast travel, if it's public transportation like a boat or a silt strider, why not be able to take it anywhere it goes, whether you've been there before or not?

Yes.

Another thing about the fog: If there is something like that in 3D map, the MAJOR cities are not included, because i remember Todd said that you can fast travel to this cities soon after the beginning of the game, so is somehow like TES IV... (where you know the localization of the major cities in the beginning, but that's it...)

i think it would be cool of on the map the parts that you haven't discovered yet are covered in a fog or with clouds.

I don't think you're gonna be able to zoom in and look at places 3 dimensionally... I'm not sure how it's gonna work, but I just don't think it'll be like a live version of Google streets or anything, you know?
