See your character when shopping for clothes?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:47 pm

When you are buying clothing and armor in both Morrowind and Oblivion (but not in Daggerfall), you can't see how it fits to your character, until you buy it.

I would like to see my character picture, upon choosing the barter option from the dialog menu, like when you are in the inventory, with your character equipping the items when you click on them, needing to click again to buy it (instead of appearing the do 'you want to buy' option, which should be maintained for not equipable objects). This way you could try different pieces and decide which combination fits better, before buying it.

Alternatively, it could be the shopkeeper and his/her spouse or generic mannequins who equip the clothes. This could be less fitting for this game but could make easier to buy clothes for different gender companions if they are in vanilla game, or once they are added by mods.

What do you think?

Sounds great, a dressing room feature where you can put on, mix and match different outfits and clothing items would be wonderful!

It will go great with the planned crops growing for alchemy ingredients, vegetables and flowers, as well as the room refurbishing feature where you rearrange your furniture, books and the color of your walls and tapestry. There should also be a mirror in your house where you can change your facial features like scars, eye shade, trim your beard, eyebrows and hairstyle.

In case you didn't figure it out I'm being sarcastic... or am I?

I would like this feature. Usually I just reload if i didn't like the clothing, but this feature is much more convenient.

I figured out after reading planned crops :D. As you can see in the 3th option of the pool I can understand your point of view.
