all of these accounts were created today, "fanbase" is a bit of a stretch I think
Pfft. No. No a hundred times over.
You can only kill them and ruin their evil plans so many times.
No thanks. Lets see some new factions in new places.
The Enclave are dead.
Shortly before the war, part of the US government retreated to the Enclave Oil Rig, with the intent to wait out the storm, and started their reclaimation activties about 164 years after the Great War.
They lost a good chunk of their personnel and production capabilties in Fallout 2. Most of the remnants went east and were featured in Fallout 3, about 30 years later.
They lost a good chunk of their personnel and production capabilities in Fallout 3. Not two weeks later, the remnants moved to Adams AFB with the crawler.
They lost a good chunk of their personnel and production capabilties in Broken Steel.
What do they have left to lose?!? By my estimate, they have lost over 99% of their pre-FO2 capabilties at this point. If they were to remain a threat, then they should have had the numbers to either shrug off the loss of the Oil Rig or beat the tar out of the BoS in FO3 despite Liberty Prime and the Lone Wanderer.
They're dead as a faction. Dead and gone. But that doesn't mean their ghosts still can't haunt the wasteland.
Oh, for ***** sake.. The Enclave has been smashed into bits, three times! It's a dead faction and should stay that way.
Great villains but at this point them returning yet another time is too much.

Here's suggestion: instead of overusing old lore, create some new lore.
If they made it to Vegas in four years, they can make it to the Commonwealth in ten. Splintered and still on the run. At least add them to random encounters. I need some Enclave under armor.
As I have said in the other threads they've been destroyed 6+ times already and it's time for them to stay dead. They only had about 1000 members to start with so it was already nonsensical in Fallout 3 and Broken Steel after the Chosen One and NCR wiped them out in Fallout 2.
The New Vegas group were remnants of the West Coast Enclave operations that stayed behind at Navarro. They didn't come from the East.
With the NV Lonesome Road DLC it's hinted that there may be an outpost in Chicago.
Dunno why people seems upset with an OPTION for the player to join them as a faction. I would enjoy that a lot, especially if they took new decisions about how to operate in the Wasteland.
Yes, how about the Children of Atom in Far Harbor ?
What a waste of faction-slot for this DLC, honestly. They just anounced that they'll be in the DLC and I already know I'm going to kill them because their ideology/religion is just stupid, even worse than Super Mutants average IQ.
No big enclave plots, a group of huddled survivors trying to carve out a life sure,
a lone 8 foot badass wandering the wastes to challenge high level characters like the ebony warior of skyrim, YES, YES, YES.
I'm holding off judgement until I play it, but yes, my initial thoughts are that the CoA's inclusion was stupid as well.
And if there is a Fallout game in Chicago, then we should be able to encounter that outpost. Now whether it is a functional base full of Enclave soldiers, taken over by Raiders or some other faction, or is completely abandoned is completely up to Bethesda.
New Vegas did the Enclave right with the Remnants. If we encounter former members of the Enclave or more likely the children of former members of the Enclave in future games, then it makes far more sense than encountering the Enclave again.
Those mustache-twirling puppy kicking one dimensional villains?
NAH
I already forgot who they were...
Didn't they do something evil? Or aren't they the brotherhood+a lil more crazier?
Meh, why be selfish? if people like it, let them have it. Nobody would force you to buy the DLC about Enclave nor would you be forced to do their quest ( if they're inside some other DLC )
Yay, I'm not the only one. First thing I'm going to do once the Creation Kit is released is make a mod that removes all traces of the Children of Atom from my game.
Why is it selfish to disagree with something being included?
I want an exclusive Wizards vs. Alien Vampires DLC for Fallout. Think that would be stupid? Now, now, don't be selfish.
