Seeking help with custom npc appearance difficulty

I'm new to this and hoping someone might be willing to help me here.

I am learning the Creation Kit and working on a simple mod to start, following tutorial. I have since added my own custom npc, who will be delivering my story to the player.

My problem is that, after importing his .npc into Creation Kit, the face shown is quite different from the one I created, and I need him to have the exact appearance. Testing the mod and viewing my npc in-game shows his appearance the same as what shows in Creation Kit, not as I created.

Details: I created the NPC appearance in game, using Racemenu. Hair, beard etc. all vanilla, excepting eyes (Eyes of Beauty) and I am using Better Males Faces by Geonox. I used console spf and imported in CK. CTRL-F4 to export into the data files.

The eyes are not a big deal, as I can find a similar vanilla option, but I need to learn how. So I'm pretty sure that I'm getting hung up by the effect of the Geonox Faces, but I can't figure out how to include it on my character within my mod. I have followed along with numerous tutorials and none seem to work for me. They all seemed to apply to slightly different conditions, and gave me instructions for things my character does not have (such as hairline). In trying these methods I have acquired the programs NifSkope, TES5edit, NifMerge, GIMP, etc., but have not been able to make it work for me.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks~
