Peple connect Redguards to real life african americans(or other african ethnic group.) all the time.. but why? I mean I know they look similar but that doesn't mean they are similar. For example, I have read on the internet that a lot of people get "turned off" of playing red guards because they are considered the "black" race.. even though they are just another race of human in the TES world right? Anyway, it just seems a lot of people dislike Redguards. but why is that? I personally like Redguards a lot, but it could be because I am african american.. I don't know. I also like orcs a lot though.. so I think it is just a matter of preference. However what is interesting is.. a lot of people like dark elves who have DARK skin.. like darker than redguards skin.. yet people love dunmer? Why? is it because the dunmer basically have no connection to a real life race? What do you guys think?

I dunno. I like Redguards because of their natural affinity to the warrior class.

If they naturally ran faster and got stronger faster like they should, i'd like them.

I like Redguards. They are probably my second favorite race. My Oblivion character was a Redguard.

Might be my favorite Elder Scrolls character I've ever played.

I like them because they are seafaring people with a strong navy and love for the ocean. Which I think should be implemented a lot more.

I don't equate them to any real-life race or ethnic group. I don't like them though. Especially that tit in the Imperial City Arena. He was rude to me.

I don't mind Redguards any more than all the other human races in TES.

Oh and also their lore is epic and i love it. Plus who doesn't like cyrus the redguard.

Redguard is a great class. My favourite is Dunmer, but Redguard's look shlicked out, and they are sweet warriors.

And he let loose the stream of racist jokes................... lol anyway i tried too say redguards were the best warrior class and a good starting chracter but i got cut down BIG TIME.

Mostly because some of the other races are just more interesting.

I enjoy playing my Redgaurd. Yeah, I'm black, but it really didn't effect my choice...
Redgaurds are pretty much warriors, so I guess alot of people rooting for magic and stealth might not like them.

I like Dunmer because of the lore behind them.
I haven't read into Redguards, but if I decide to make a warrior (which will probably be sooner than later) than it will definantly be a Redguard!!

I prefer Imperials for my warrior classes. Doesn't have anything to do with real life race, just preference.

Though I might make my second character a redguard since he dislikes magic so much.

really? redguards have some pretty good lore though... compared to the lore of lets say the imperials.

I do not think it is that people dislike the Redguards, but that they like another raec better like me.

I love redguards, they are badass, I think my 4th or 5th character will be one.

This is a race worth reading about.

I always play as Redguards for my first playthrough. Great warriors.

I love the Redguards for their interesting culture. They certainly are different in comparison to the rest of the human races, considering how they do not have a common ancestry.
