The game... somehow un-installed itself. Went to launch it, files are all there it seems, but Steam is now re-downloading it all over again...

and I read this happens with Steam sometimes...

very angry...... gawdamnit it I was really enjoying The Evil Within! I hope the damn thing (Steam) at least has my saves in the cloud or something.
