I like taking selfies of my beautiful face. I don't usually upload them on Facebook, though. I just pleasure myself to them.

It's just peoples way of screaming: "Look at me! LOOK AT MEEEEEEE!!" Part of the stupid facebook/instagram/twitter culture of needing to be constantly validated and reassured. AKA; pathetic.

No way they're awesome, I also love when people take pictures of food they've cooked or ordered at restaurants.

I do like to see selfies of those sixy actresses. They deliver the merchandise to the masses way faster than the magazines although the quality is crap.

I have this odd thing of searching for pictures of shelves of products at stores in other countries.

If someone likes doing something, and it doesn't really affect me in any way, I am not bothered by it. Honestly, what I don't get is why people like the OP give a hoot. That seems more stupid than the #SELFIE culture that has arisen. It is so ridiculous to get your panties in a bunch over something so insignificant.

I don't have an intrinsic hatred of selfies. They're alright, as long as you're not making stupid faces and uploading 20 of them to Facebook every day. Everything in moderation.

I don't really mind them. Except for my own, which make me cringe.

I don't take the 'omg kawaii ^___^' selfies, but to me ,selfie is just a silly word for self-photo. I take pics of myself every now and then to update my facebook and what have you. But getting upset at people taking selfies is silly. That's like hating the person next you for drinking coffee because you don't like coffee.

As long they aren't excessive and fill up my feeds, I couldn't care less. I'm not gonna waste time feeling angry towards insignificant things. Especially a "selfie", as pretty much anyone taken a self-photo at some point, being with the webcam, phone camera or whatever.

There is nothing wrong with selfies, it's just fun and some are indeed funny. It's just the latest craze that will eventually die out.

I suppose the hatred comes from the stereotype that everyone who takes self-photos are stereotypically obnoxious teenage girls. Which is not true, of course, but if that's all you come across, either first-hand or through parodies (I'd say the latter is more likely these days), it's sort of understandable why one would give stigma to the act. Although that doesn't justify getting butthurt about it, obviously.

In this case, they have a justification for it. On screen performers are selling themselves as a product and selfies is a form of free advertisemant. Hence the z-list celebrities over use of it mentioned in the OP. Some other people are just trying to mimic their idols when they do it.

Anyway, No. I like taking pictures of my body while playing the song "careless whispers" then I put them on my wall.

I take selfies while enjoying my kill cams.

I don't really care enough to be bothered by them. My sister is obsessed with them and takes them nearly every hour. I think I've taken one or two to see how good the front camera was on my iPod but I deleted them after. For some reason I don't like having my gallery full of pictures of myself.
